    Do not go gentle into that good night 與
    不要溫和地走進那個良夜

    這首 “Do not go gentle into that good night” 算是 Dylan Thomas 最有名的詩作，經常被人引用。這是一首「勵志」的詩，主要是鼓舞他風燭殘年的父親，要和生命繼續戰鬥，不要輕易放棄，走向死亡之路。詩中以四種人（wise men, good men, wild men, grave men）的臨死表現來勸告他的父親。這首詩也出現在許多電影，從近年的《星際效應》，到九零年代 的《危險遊戲》。在電影中面對社會的、人類生存的絕境，這首詩也同樣呼喊著保有希望，不要順從命運。

    主張”一元論的” Yoga Vasiṣṭha。大約在是一千年前的著作，像薄伽梵歌一樣文中敘述了智者Vasistha與王子Rama的對話。書中充滿了許多神奇的故事以及一些聽似瘋狂但寓意深遠的寓言。

    也許你認為可以永遠擁有某樣東西(金錢 愛情 健康等等) 但任何人都可以跟你保證幾十年後，你一定會失去。就像是太陽幾十億年的壽命 對於宇宙來講只不過像點火柴，一燒就沒有了。也就是說你意識到的這一切只不過像是夢一般的。是假的！

    好! 那麼既然"智慧"告訴我們一切都是假的，那麼我是不是就應該放棄所有行動，乾脆放棄一切什麼都不要做好了??

    那就來到了Yoga Vasiṣṭha最重要的一段:

    鳥都需要兩個翅膀才能飛起來

    一個翅膀叫做智慧

    一個翅膀叫做行動

    這兩個相輔相成才能得到最高境界的解脫

    也就是說 對於外在的事物上我們永遠努力，永遠不放棄。不只這樣子我們還要帶著完全的信心，百分之百興趣與熱誠，用上我們所有的智慧，能力以及信仰來完成它(這就是行動）

    但是內在我們了解這一切的一切都是稍縱即逝的，不執著(這就是智慧）

    對外在的一切我們永不放棄但是內心深處我們卻是永遠放手 (行動+智慧)

    最後送給大家Vasistha對Rama說的一段話

    「你要像是能夠改變全世界一樣的去”行動”

    但同時你要擁有 “做任何事情，對這個世界都不會有任何改變的內在”智慧”」

    不去拿最佳男主角，去探望父親的墓。83歲了，很多東西都不用在乎，只用在乎那在乎的東西。他拍片回應得獎，唸了Dylan Thomas的詩《Do not go gentle into that good night》。唸着唸着，他自己最後也忍不住揪心了一下。

    Do not go gentle into that good night,
