Don't let your shortcomings discourage you and determine the course of your life. Jesus said, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness" (2Cor 12:9). When you depend on the Lord's unmerited favor, His undeserved grace will turn you into a champion for His glory!

Even when things don’t turn out the way you want them to, trust in the Lord's love and faithfulness towards you. Trust in His plans to prosper you, to give you hope and a future. (see Jer 29:11 NIV)

Live by these 5 words today: "The battle is the Lord's!" (see 2Chr 20:17).

Though the truth that God will never leave nor forsake us (see Heb. 13:5) is one we know by heart, there will inevitably be times we just don’t seem to feel His presence near us. Or perhaps you once relished His presence, but it's been a long time since you last felt it.

The Shulamite woman in Song of Solomon chapter 5 had a similar experience when she felt distant from her Beloved and could no longer sense His presence. But it was a surprisingly simple action that changed how she felt! As other people asked her all about her Beloved and she began sharing about His goodness, her love and appreciation for Him began to rekindle.

If you're feeling far from Jesus today, why not tell a friend or loved one about your experience with Him and what He has done for you? Besides reminding yourself of the Lord's goodness and love for you, it may stir their heart and curiosity towards Him as well. Who knows, they may want to know Him personally too!
