"Demand for distribution workers has skyrocketed as more consumers shop online, in part because picking, packing and shipping e-commerce orders is more labor-intensive than traditional warehouse operations that distribute wholesale goods or replenish store inventory."

Why You Should Pay Attention to the Way Management Talks

Mezrich found that simple really does matter. Using the Gunning Fog index, he ranked companies in the Russell 1000 into tenths, based on their earnings conference calls. Over the past three years, the companies with the simplest language have returned 19.2% annualized, beating the equal-weighted Russell 1000’s 15.7%. Those with the most complex language returned just 13.4%. The complex language portfolio was also more volatile than the simple language portfolio.

“Since senior management delivers an earnings call, simple language may produce more confidence among investors in management’s ability to deliver on their vision,” Mezrich explains. “Hence, simpler language earnings calls can lead to subsequent stock outperformance.”

Butterfly Roasted Crispy Goose』. It improved & the quality of this Goose has increased significantly. Skin was crackling thin crispy, but the meat remained moist gamey. @michelinguide @oadtop100 🌟

    • This very traditional dish initially used Duck #琵琶鴨. Albeit due to its labor intensive preparations & being an artisanal dish, the combination of modern factors means only higher end Restaurants can afford to make one. And high end places in HK serve Goose > Duck in 21st Century, so u could say it's even rarer to find a Duck version in HK after the 2000's. But overseas it's still predominantly the original Duck recipe

    • Another point I never raised about this dish, is that most customers assume it is 'Cantonese'. But the naming of this dish was originally Which makes a reference to Beijing & its sauces, much like HK's #京都炸醬麵 , etc. A piece of our own Southern Culinary history worth studying about..

【Origin Stories - Ho Trung Dung, Chip Chip AW#21】
"My parents are one of my angel investors. They invested without expecting anything in return, despite coming from a relatively poor background. Growing up in Vietnam, they sacrificed a lot just make sure I got a good education and access to better opportunities in life. That’s why I've pushed myself to study and become a lifelong learner.

Although majoring in history during university, I eventually fell in love with computers. I read through every computer magazine, cover to cover. I started to learn how to install windows OS and do everything with the computer, including teaching myself how to program.

I eventually went out to start my own digital marketing agency. We were quite successful, making good money, but growth was slow. The business was very labor intensive and we were not helping that many people.

After 6 months of back and forth, I decided to give it all up to start something new. I had to abandon this image of a successful person. It was one of the toughest decisions I've had to make. But I realized that having a lot of money, a big car, big house, will only make us happy in the short-term.

I’ve always been obsessed with building tech solutions to positively impact many people. That’s why I had to do a startup again, this time focusing on English learning. It's been hard, and tiring, and filled with endless challenges, but I feel much more fulfilled than ever."
