Having menses does NOT necessarily means you have ovulation. By recording your Basal Body Temperature 🤒 in the morning (do it before you even sit out of bed, just when you wake up and still lying in bed) to understand more about your menstrual cycle and whether you DO ovulate or not 💯
Before ovulation, your body is cooler 🧊
After ovulation, your temperature 🤒 will warm 🧣up and stay warm🧣. From the chart, the temperature jumps up on Day 13, this is one of the signs (to be more accurate, you have to also check your vaginal sensation - whether it is wet or dry, and texture of your mucus, to tell if you really have ovulation or not) that you have ovulation.
If you want to be certain which period to be infertile to avoid pregnancy, you go back to Day 12, count back 6️⃣ days, find the highest temperature of these 6 temperatures, and with 0.1 degree above this highest temperature is your COVERLINE (the dark bold line in the chart).
Count 3 temperatures IN A ROW that are above this coverline. You are infertile on the evening of the 3rd high temperature that is in a row above your coverline, in this chart as an eg, it is Day 16. Knowing this and the woman can then decide if she wants pregnancy or not in planning her time for intercourse with her husband.
💡💡Why our temperature fluctuates with ovulation⁉️
Because before ovulation, your body produces ESTROGEN, a hormone that keeps your body cool & that you produces wet 💦 mucus.
After ovulation, your body produces PROGESTERONE, a hormone that keep your body warm and you produces dry 🏜 mucus.
P.S. I use an app called #KINDARA to record everything about my menstrual cycles. It is a free app and it is like the photo here to help you to understand everything about your cycles.
Stay well my dear female friends 🌷🌷🌷and be more aware of what’s happening in your body 💃🏻💫
