An Old Lady Withdrawing Money 💰


An old lady handed her bank card to a bank teller and said, “I would like to withdraw $500.”

The female teller told her, “For withdrawals or deposit less than $1000 please use the ATM”.

The old lady then asked, “Why?” The teller irritably told her, “These are rules. Please leave if there is no other matter. There is a queue behind you.” She then returned the card to the old lady.

The old lady remained silent. But she returned the card to the teller and said, “Please help me withdraw all the money I have.”

The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head and said to the old lady, “My apologies Granny, you have $21,365,777 in your account and our bank does not have so much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come again tomorrow?"

The old lady then asked, “How much am I able to withdraw now?”

The teller told her, “Any amount up to $500,000”

The old lady then told the teller that she wanted to withdraw $500,000 from her account. The teller did so quickly and handed it to the old lady respectfully. The old lady kept $500 in her bag and asked the teller to deposit the balance back into her account. The teller was dumbfounded.

*The moral of this story is that rules are inflexible but we humans can be flexible when the situation requires us to be. We should not treat people based on their looks or how they are dressed. Rather, we should treat everyone with respect. And ... never be too quick to judge a book by its cover *

I 💛 you, King of Fruits! And I 💛 you even more when you come in a heart shape so I can Instagram you lol!! Had the best time ever at Wonderful Durian because the Lao beng seller was fucking funny and also gave us free durians wtf. He is damn boh liao, beside the store was a metal pole for wires, like a stop sign without the octogen. He put a lot of leaves on it and hung some small durians there and told us he has fresh durians to offer us, freshly plucked from his durian tree. I genuinely thought it was a sapling and got laughed at by @mystylemysong and @ripplesim who whooped with laughter till they had a stomachache. @ripplesim was like "不要骗人你自己挂上去的"

When I finally saw it was a metal pole - not even his metal pole but the government's pole just innocently standing along the road and adorned with 4 durians - I also was breathless with laughter because WHY WOULD ANYONE BE SO BOH LIAO.

I asked the uncle why his "tree" has a metal stem and he told me "这个是铁树会生榴莲的，你不懂".

Ps: made my best friend hold the durian in place because it was actually opened and wouldn't be a nice heart shape anymore if it's not held properly. She held it gingerly with her fingertips - quite understandably due to the spikes - and I was like you look damn strained can you look like u are warmly offering the durian to me, like with LOVE. And so she had to put her palms on the spikes and irritably yelled "FASTER LAH TAKE FINISH ALREADY NOT"

After the ordeal she tragically lost her hands. Just kidding nobody got injured but just give a Like goddammit, people already poked by durians you still so giam with your likes meh?
