美國總統航業公司(APL)與高雄港#68/#69號貨櫃專用碼頭續租十年,租期自2018/01/01-2027/12-31
APL的執行長 Nicolas Sartin說:"亞洲區內的貨運量已經占全球總貨運量之1/6,APL預見本地區未來之發展,繼續維持其租用高雄港碼頭在地理上之優勢.高雄港是我們亞洲區戰略上的橋頭堡,連接起日,韓,菲,泰,越及其他轉運港."
APL租用的#68/#69也為其Ocean Alliance的夥伴CMA CGM提供了靠泊碼頭,帶來每年150萬teu的業績量,先進的機具加上熟練的工人締造出每小時36動作(MPH)的佳績.

其實#68/#69兩碼頭總長640米,母船子船搭配調度容易,最大吃水因剛好位在過港隧道(14M)之南,故可以裝到15.2M(可接納14000tue之超大貨櫃);加上距二港近,正靠倒拖均節省大量的等候時間與拖船費用,更由於位在市區之中,佔有距公路網近不必經過港隧道,集散容易之優勢.就算颱風來時,這兩座碼頭因為吹的是向岸風,沒再怕!(只要長榮的船不斷纜飄過來).

這在牛排來說是屬於 U.S.D.A.Prime的等級,APL趁周年慶先下手預定10年,乃饕餮之動作!
