Theropoda. They appeared during the Carnian age (230 MYA) and have been in their formidable form until late Cretaceous (65 MYA) and are known to be proposed in various groups of carnivores, herbivores, omnivores, insectivores and piscivores. Modern birds evolved from them, representing almost 10,000 species today. Theropods features are linked to birds, such as their furcula, hollow bones, brooding of their eggs and proto feathers. The worlds most widespread extant of wild theropod is the house sparrow of modern ages. Recent studies hypothetically conclude that the Tyrannosaurus could possibly be as smart as a chimpanzee. The term bird brain does not play any justice, as new ground breaking discoveries are made each day. Dinosaurs, mother natures legacy that will live forever.
