BSBCC’s Sun Bear Cub Naming Contest Sex: Female Born: 20th May 2021 (Daughter of Bintang) The newly born Sun Bear cub has a common v-shaped chest mark. She has no external ears, shortened tail and incomplete fur coat, due to wounds inflicted by her mother’s over grooming behavior. Even so, there is no doubt that she will transform into a beautiful bear. The cub is a fighter as she survived multiple episodes of critical moments with strong surviving will. She never loses her suckling responses and greedily drinks her milk every time it’s meal time. Therefore, her tummy is always filled and round. She will shout for attention when hungry or to answer nature's call. She often sleeps contentedly on her back while mumbling softly. She also paddles her 4 limbs while sleeping and slowly learns to flip and crawl. Sleeping and drinking milk are two of her main daily chores.
