英國倫敦知名觀光景點柯芬園，新推出一間讓人看了有點害羞的法式鬆餅甜點店

.

如果你有去過比利時旅遊過，一定都會吃過一種街邊小吃點心 "比利時鬆餅 Waffle"
跟你平常吃到的 那種片狀的鬆餅Pancake 不太一樣，Waffle 有人稱作格子鬆餅

但是，位於英國倫敦這家 Zizi Factory 號稱是 Sexy French Waffle 性感法式鬆餅
他把鬆餅做成男生p-shaped waffle 以及女生 v-shaped waffle 各自的生殖器形狀鬆餅

比起台灣是叫大鵰燒，倫敦這家店 ZIZI 則是把男生形狀稱作 Willy 威力 ，女生形狀則是叫 FANNY 芬妮

每一種形狀都還搭配不同的巧克力醬與配料，有 Germain or Germaine / Marcel or Marcelle / Yves or Yvette / Lucien or Lucette / Jacques or Jacqueline

大玩創意造型的甜點，非常吸引年輕愛嘗試新鮮事物的年輕族群，尤其會在IG上拍照上傳分享

海明威稱她為全世界最sensational 的女人，約瑟芬·貝克 (Josephine Baker)，將成為法國第一位進入萬神殿Panthéon(先賢祠)的黑人女性。

竣工於1789年的萬神殿是法國供奉先賢的殿堂， 伏爾泰、盧梭、雨果、左拉、莫內、居禮夫人(第一位入祠的女性)、 大仲馬....一共75位 grands hommes偉大賢人👫齊聚一堂。

其中只有5位女性👯：約瑟芬·貝克將是第六位，繼西蒙娜·韋伊Simone Veil（女權主義與歐洲議會議長， 2017去世 2018入祠）、 瑪麗·居禮Marie Curie（物理學家，1934去世 1995入祠）、熱納維耶夫·德·戈勒-安東尼茲 Geneviève de Gaulle Anthonioz （抗德志士，2002去世 2015入祠）、 日爾曼·蒂利翁 Germaine Tillion（人種學家與抗德志士，2008去世 2015入祠） 、蘇菲·貝特洛 Sophie Berthelot （生物與化學家Marcelin Berthelot的妻子， 1907與丈夫一同入祠）。

約瑟芬·貝克， 本名Freda Josephine McDonald，1906年出生於美國密蘇里州， 1975年於巴黎13區去世。本身有西班牙、非洲、印地安人血統， 因為家境貧困，她1920就結婚了。16歲跑到百老匯當歌舞演員，1925年遠渡重洋來到巴黎香榭大道表演。 她的上空野性歌舞劇名噪一時，也為法國帶來了爵士與美國黑人音樂的洗禮。她自己說是『逃離美國』，因因為種族歧視太嚴重。

1937年與Jean Lion結婚之後歸化為法國人，利用職業之便，在二次大戰被德軍佔領的法國當間諜 ，為自由法國與盟軍服務。據說她會將訊息藏在樂譜之中 (笑傲江湖曲?)，也曾將含有納粹間諜名單的迷你底片藏在胸罩中， 然後交給英國特務。

她也是二戰之後法國高級服飾的代言人， 與Christian Dior 及 Pierre Balmain 都是好友。 她在一次流產之後無法生育，畢生除了對抗種族歧視，也領養了12個不同膚色的孩子， 一起住在Château des Milandes城堡，她稱之為『彩虹部落』。

❓至於誰來決定讓誰進入萬神殿?
在第五共和治下，這是屬於總統的權力。當然前提是被提名的 『本人』 及其繼承人同意。 像戴高樂本人在世時就表示不希望入祠，卡謬的後代也不希望卡謬入祠(可能是因為討厭當時的總統薩科吉)。

理論上來說，不一定非得是法國人才能入祠。畢竟從來沒有條文白紙黑字的寫上入祠的條件。重點是 『值得國家感謝的偉人』，言下之意就是彰顯法國精神(l’incarnation de l’esprit français )的人。

法國總統馬恐龍提議約瑟芬貝克入祠的理由不外是想團結法國人吧(移民+膚色+性別議題一次到位)！但她不向命運低頭，不自怨自艾，也勇於付出的人道精神，值得尊敬。

Weekend. Raining. Work had been hectic. Needed to take some time off to recharge. Covid. WFH. Blurred lines between work and personal time. No time to shut off from work completely. Found myself working from screens to screen. Laptop to phone. Even leisure is watching videos online.

In need of time for a digital detox.

Found a bookstore that was opened in Feb this year, in the heart of Orchard Road, Wheelock Place. Where the Borders flagship used to be. If you know what I’m talking about, you’re from my time. I recall the times when I was still in secondary school, hanging at Borders with my friends who love reading, and I will be there checking out the CDs.

Heard that it has a 2 storey space with a cafe and gallery as well. Heard that the ones in China open 24hours, although it’s not happening in SG yet

Zall Bookstore, an outlet with more than 30,000 books mostly in Chinese, also has a cafe and art gallery

“Ms Laura Yan Ge, 24, who is general manager of the Singapore store, said at a media preview on Friday that while the company did not anticipate the coronavirus outbreak erupting amid its expansion, it believes bookstores are especially vital during a pandemic.

‘Because of Covid-19, there is a lot of distance between people nowadays," she said in Mandarin. "We believe books will help to close this gap. They provide food for thought and people can use them to widen their worlds.’”

As a creator myself, I need to constantly find inspiration.

While I can readily find all sorts of information online, sometimes I found my mind being constantly overloaded instead. We read. Socialise. We basically live most parts of our lives in the virtual world, and now we have lesser and lesser reasons to get out there anymore.

So, why a new book store? When was the last time you visited a book store?

Being here made me realised that it’s not about the books. It’s about the space. It’s about the experience. It’s about being here and being present. And what happens when you unplug from the internet and be present in the moment? You’ll get involuntarily intrigued by the surroundings, the people, the architecture, the noise, the beauty of it all. You’ll find headspace. You’ll find your inspiration. You’ll even find a new you.

When was the last time you stepped outside, set aside time just for yourself, and experience life beyond the screen?

How to be creative? You have to find inspiration, it doesn't find you.

1) I really have to care about the subject because if I don't, it's hard for me to tap into my subconscious to allow inspiration to happen. Caring about someone and something is personal. More often than not, it's a form of responsibility for me. Other times, it's pure fun and entertainment. So, if your job is to be creative, find a reason and conviction for the project at hand because caring about the project is your source of energy, so you may be brave to take the lead to dive deep into the abyss of the creative unknown.

2) If you are scared? Find inputs. Do research. Consciously feeding my subconscious mind is one of the most important steps I do for staying creative. Nothing is original. Every original man-made creation is an inspiration from everyday life, an alchemy of great ideas, or a hybrid of someone else's work. That is just the way it is.

3) Tap into your subconscious. Take time for it. Take a walk. Go for a jog. Take a shower. Now we talk about science. Our subconscious mind is the most active when we are relaxed. Our conscious mind pays attention to information all around us at the moment, but our subconscious mind contains the other 99% of the information we have come across in our entire lives. Such a powerful machine, why not tap into it? Now we wonder how many of the great ideas we know today were conceived while sitting on the toilets.
