Challenge accepted!! Mission accomplished ⛰✌🏼 . Dairy Farm loop trail to the summit is the most challenging part of the nature trail here. It was all ready to torture me with its long and endless flight of stairs, I took a few stops to sneak some breaths before the summit. Such a good vertical workout, tbh my legs were jelly 😅 . Question : Is there a farm in the Dairy Farm Nature Park ? 🤔 . Facts: You find no sight of any farm in the nature park now. It was 1930 when the world’s first tropical dairy farm was established at the base of Bukit Timah Hill. This area was started for pig farming but after an outbreak of swine fever it was converted to a milk farm by the MD of Cold Storage, Mr Fred Heron. He brought in 24 Friesian cows to Singapore from Holland and Australia and started a dairy farm in the area. For your information, Friesian cattle are a breed known for their high quality dairy production. They are completely alien to the tropics, and the Singapore dairy farm was an oddity that attracted a fair amount of worldwide attention .
