I just finished my trip from Cappadocia 🇹🇷 this might be the coolest places I've ever visited in Turkey. My favorite for of my first day there wasn't even the landscape, it's the underground city, 8 levels of pure man carved city through 4 different eras, it was once believed to contained 4000 people... that's another level of quarantine 🙈 and there are so many underground cities around Cappadocia, this isn't the only one!

Shimoda is always a great place to visit in the summer for of the beautiful white sand beaches, but have you ever visited the mountain side? This house is built on a cliff inside a National park facing the Izu peninsula. The entire front side of the house is glass so you get a beautiful open view of the ocean! The house was about a 40 min drive from Shimoda station (8000 yen cab ride). The area is really remote so I suggest renting a car because there is literally nothing within a 10k radius. So buy your groceries on your way there and get ready to cook! There’s a fridge but NO freezer 🙄 Bring LOTS of sunscreen and bug repellant 🐛 You’ll see a lot of creepy bugs you’ve never seen in your life… like butterflies the size of birds🦋. Also, be ready to SWEAT… you know what glass front on a house means😅 For breakfast, there is a vegan catering service available. We ordered the party box for 5000 yen (cash only). Everything is organic and locally grown and the food was delicious! Make sure you order a few days ahead of time. WARNING: The patio is literally on a cliff and it’s pretty dangerous. I would not suggest bringing kids or having drunk antics outside 😁 Anyways, this place was so stunning I had to share.
