還記得去年我提出的跟同學一起執行的公益講座計畫嗎？透過由學生研究選擇適當的慈善團體受款，我捐出課堂收入的方式來提高議題能見度，一起關懷社會。很開心能看到當時的想法，在生活中發酵。

Taiwan Innocence Project (TIP) was founded in 2012 to address the issue of wrongful conviction in Taiwan. We hope to create an open and dynamic space that can spur more public discussion and the exchange of ideas to resolve the problem of wrongful conviction. We hold our annual conference in August, inviting professionals, such as scholars, professors, judges, prosecutors, forensic experts, and attorneys, to attend. Besides the annual conferences, we also actively engage in public communications. We hold training workshops for attorneys, ask experts from different disciplines to give talks, and hold campus tours to share the stories of the innocent people and to show documentaries about their lives.

【鄭性澤無罪－時代力量聲明】
　
高等法院台中分院今天上午11時宣判鄭性澤無罪，結束這起長達15年、引發社會各界高度關注的冤案。時代力量對此同感欣慰，也肯定台中高分檢去年為死刑定讞的鄭案聲請再審、主動重啟調查，以及台中高分院受理審判、於去年釋放鄭性澤的道德勇氣與執法精神；更對長期救援鄭性澤、捍衛司法人權的諸多民間團體，致上最高敬意。
　
鄭性澤的辯護人邱顯智律師轉述無罪判決理由，首先是鄭性澤遭受刑求的事實獲得確認，鄭性澤在刑求之下所作的自白，並非出於任意性，且與案件事實不符，更無真實性。此外，最新的鑑定結果也顯示，被害員警遭槍擊情形與原審認定不同，表明鄭性澤並非真兇。
　
從去年徐自強案，到今年的鄭性澤案，都讓人民期待看見司法改革的新進程。
　
鄭案過去的嚴重瑕疵，導致長年冤錯，對冤案當事人生命及自由造成極其重大的威脅與損害，向社會表明了司法程序正義、科學專業證據與落實人權保障的重要性，更顯示今年司改國是會議中，有關強化定讞案件救濟途徑、建全無辜受害者社會復歸與補償機制，以及制訂司法科學政策以完善證據法則等政策目標，確是台灣司法改革的重要指標。
　
時代力量為鄭性澤、也為更多的冤錯案當事人獻上祝福，也期許鄭案的平反不是終點，更要努力加速改革、落實人權價值。

【鄭性澤親筆公開信】

今天法院撤銷了錯誤的判決，改判我無罪，這個無罪我等了十五年。

今天在這裏我有些話要向蘇憲丕的兒子說：

在這十五年中，我背負著殺警兇手的罪名，死刑確定被關在台中看守所等死，我每天都要在很驚恐的氣氛裡度日，家人也都提心吊膽的有要收屍的心理壓力，我和家人都不好過。

在這十五年來，我腦海中始終有一段畫面，那就是當年我被警察帶到殯儀館，逼跪在你父親靈位前時，你正站在父親靈位前祭拜，你被腳鐐聲、逼跪聲驚動，轉過頭看向我的畫面。

我和你對望了一眼，我們沒有交談，也不允許交談，你的眼神告訴我：「你是壞人。」但當時我無法告訴你，我不是，我知道你很痛苦，但是我真的不是，我不是殺死你爸爸的人。真的！！

今天法院還我清白，讓我有機會在十五年後的今天，清楚的跟你說：「我不是殺死你爸爸的人。」

我很慶幸自己在十五年後的今天能夠告訴你，如果在2006年我被執行死刑了，這句話我永遠沒有機會說了。

你我立場雖然不同，但一樣經歷和遭遇了人世間的痛苦，分離的、仇恨的、傷痛的、破碎的，你我兩家都是受害人。

這些是我想要向你說，它放在我心中已經十五年。今天以前，我是一個沒有明天的人，從這一刻起，我要重新開始我的人生。

在這裏，我祝福你！祝福你的家人！

今日、裁判所が間違った判決を撤回して、無罪と判決し直しました。
私はこの無罪判決を15年も待っていました。

今日、ここで、私は蘇憲丕さんの息子さんにお話したいことがあります。

ひどく怯え、恐れる日々を過してきました。

15年間、忘れられないシーンがずっと頭の中にあります。
当時、警察に葬儀場に連れられて、あなたのお父さんの霊前に跪かされた時、お父さんの冥福を祈っているあなたもそこにいました。
あなたは私の足錠の音と無理やり跪かせる警察の命令の声に驚き、振り返って私を見ました。

言葉を交わせずに、会話ももちろん禁止されて、ただ目と目を見交わしました。
あなたの眼差しは私に「あなたは悪人だ！」と言っていました。
でも、その時、違いますと私は言えませんでした。
あなたがとても辛いのはわかります。
でも、私は本当に悪人ではありません。お父さんを殺したのは私ではありません。本当です。

裁判所にやっと潔白を証明され、15年後の今日、あなたに「私はあなたのお父さんを殺してはいない」とはっきり伝えることができます。
15年後の今日、あなたに伝えられて本当によかったと思います。
もし2006年に死刑を執行されていたら、もう永遠にあなたにこのことを伝える機会がなくなってしまったでしょう。

私たちの立場は違っても、同じこの世の苦痛に遭遇し、それを存分に味わってきました。
別れ、恨み、心の傷と悲しみ、人生は既に砕けてしまって、あなたの家族も私の家族も皆、被害者です。

あなたに言いたかったことは15年も心の中にありました。
今日まで、私は明日が無い人間でした。でもこれから、再び私の人生を始めたいのです。

あなたとご家族の未来を祝福します！

Today, Taichung High Court overturned the previous conviction and declared me not guilty of killing Police Sergeant Su Xian Pi. I have been waiting for this day for 15 years.

I would first like to say a few words to Constable Su, son of deceased Sergeant Su Xian Pi.

For 15 years, I bore the brunt of being called a cop-killer and living on death row. Every single day I lived in terror of being executed, and my family receiving the devastating news. My family and I have been through an ordeal of pain and fear unimaginable to anyone else.

Nevertheless, in those 15 years, this particular image was always imprinted in my brain. It was the image of you looking at me the way you did. That day, the police took me to the funeral parlor and forced me, all handcuffed and chained, to worship at the altar you had set up for your late father. You were already there by the time we arrived. Startled by the sound of the chains, you turned your head to look at me.

We looked at each other without exchanging words. In fact, we weren’t allowed to say anything to each other at the time, but I could tell the look in your eyes that said to me “you killed my father.” Back then, I could not tell you that I did not do it. I knew how hard it must have been for you, but in all honesty, I did not kill your father.

Today I am exonerated. 15 years on, I can now finally tell you, once and for all, I am not the killer of your father.

Thankfully, I am fortunate enough to survive death row and be able to tell you this after 15 years. If I had been executed back in 2006, I would never have the chance to say it.

Although you and I are on opposite sides of this tragic incident, we share one thing in common: we both have suffered the most horrendous ordeal of loss, grief, hate, broken hopes and dreams. Your family and mine are all victims in this tragedy.

I have been wanting to tell you this for 15 years. Up until today, I was a man without tomorrow. From this moment on, I want to start a brand new life.

And I offer my heartfelt best wishes to you and your family.
