2019-11-05 20:30:01Thời tiết gần đây rất thất thường. Vào ban ngày trời rất nắng và nóng, ban đêm những con ốc núi mới bắt đầu ra ăn. Anh Lanh và Cương quyết định làm một chuyến vào rừng kiếm ốc núi ở khu vực gần những chân núi đá. Trên đường đi tìm kiếm hai người bắt được khá nhiều ốc, phát hiện ra sinh vật và loài hoa rất kỳ lạ và đẹp. Đặc biệt hơn là có thêm món nấm rừng rất ngon. Nấm này có rất nhiều con ròi nhỏ li ti bám vào. Anh Lanh có bảo chúng rất ngon. Nên anh em sử lý luôn làm món “ Ốc núi nấu giòi nấm rừng”.

Mountain snail cooked with forest mushrooms
Recent weather is very erratic. During the day it is very sunny and hot, at night the new snails begin to eat. Lanh and Cuong decided to make a trip to the forest to find mountain snails near the foothills. On the way to find two people who caught quite a few snails, discovered creatures and flowers are very strange and beautiful. Especially, there is more delicious forest mushroom dish. This mushroom has lots of tiny bugs attached to it. Lanh said they were delicious. So the processing brothers always make dishes "Mountain snails cook forest mushrooms".

Share this with new parents👇 Shi Quan Tonic Soup is a hearty, warming soup filled with intense flavours from the duck and pork trotters. The herbal and richness are nicely balanced with gentle sweetness from the wolfberries, making it a pleasant soup to have.
It’s more commonly drunk as a confinement soup but it is definitely beneficial to anyone who’s feeling under the weather, especially in the erratic weather we’ve been having in SouthEast Asia.

Shi Quan 十全 ($12 worth of Chinese herbs from Chinese medical hall）
25g Wolfberries
1 Duck (approx. 2.5kg)
1 Pork trotter (approx. 1kg) (cut into circular sections)
4 Litres
Salt to taste

一名曾經在高盛銀行工作的俄羅斯裔工程師，離職後有一天下飛機的時候被一群FBI帶走，說他竊取了高盛機密的軟體程式。在他想法裡面那大部分是開源碼，他想帶走的是他技術上得意的想法，有點像是自己的工作筆記一般。在面對偵訊，法官，及陪審團的時候，即便他就像是個一般的只愛技術的工程師，但仍然被判了幾年牢獄。到底，他拿走的這些程式嗎是什麼了不起的機密？還是說，這些程式碼背後有不可告人的秘密，驚動了那些既得利益者？一切從這一場逮捕開始，回溯著華爾街在那幾年，股票交易與電腦科技碰撞時，產生的巨大利益衝突。
在金融產業逐步資訊化的同時，電腦交易取代人為交易，人們發現一切決戰點都在於速度。而原本政府立意良善希望讓自動交易透明化的法規，反而成為有心人士利用特權，造成更大的資訊不對等，撈取投資人的利益，甚至是退休基金也免不了受到這樣的剝削。因著利用這些高速交易，他們看似神不知鬼不覺的獲取利益，卻讓美國股市更加不穩定，開始不時的出現崩盤的現象。
如同 Michael Lewis其他的書一般，當中人物的刻畫就是如此鮮明而且引人入勝。這個真實故事裡面的主角，都是一群非典型華爾街人士。主要的一位是日本裔的加拿大金融主管，還有沉默寡言的俄羅斯程式設計者，有在家鄉快要餓死才移民到美國的愛爾蘭工程師，也有善於解密拼圖的華裔阿宅，等等。在當時的華爾街，這些工程師常常什麼名其妙被徵召到銀行當中，後來被重金挖角到所謂的高速交易所 （high frequency trading HFT)。常常他們會低著頭做事，不知道自己做的事情對公司的價值何在。而另一面是少數知道內幕的人士，他們利用這種資訊與速度的不對稱性，就像是在賭場當中，你可以看到其他人的動機，然後找他們幾步取得大部分的利益，或甚至是跟自己的客戶對賭。
這幾位非典型人士，最後拋棄百萬甚至千萬美金的年薪，自行組成一個交易圈，希望用公正透明的方式，能夠拆穿華爾街的謊言。他們在一個極度不被看好，甚至受到黑函威脅的情況之下，逆勢操作，才讓整個不對等的現象逐漸受到大眾矚目。
其中我覺得很酷的一點，是所謂半個局外人的那種眼光。正因這些人物都不是典型的華爾街人士，他們才看得見問題，或甚至與制度衝撞。日裔加拿大人的正直，讓他有一種要拯救世界的使命感。俄羅斯工程師在鐵幕下對抗不透明的製度，讓他習慣一眼看到制度中的漏洞。貧窮出生的愛爾蘭工程師，因著無法理解美國人的金錢價值觀，想要做對得起良心的事。而華裔阿宅，善於看見拼圖中的固定模式，就可以幫助其他人用更直覺的方式把複雜的情況變得容易理解。
當產業更加的資訊化之際，人們很容易推給電腦和機器，或是因為不懂電腦運算的方式，被有心人士佔便宜。對科技和AI的素養會越來越重要，但對每個領域都有基本的了解，就像查理蒙格說的 “工具箱要有多種工具”，才能讓資訊化的產業，仍然是人們可以當責的。
另外一提的是，這本2014年買的書，也是我的另一本斷頭書 （有開始沒有結束😅) 。事隔六年多以後，讀起來容易多了。雖然很多股票交易的背景和名詞不是太理解，但作者總是可以用一些讓人秒懂的比喻，維持我的興趣。Michael Lewis講故事的手法，彷彿是看到電影中一幕幕的編劇方式，加上刻畫鮮明的人物，讀他的書完全就是一種看劇的 fu啊！
