    Everyone who knows me well enough knows i can’t bear the sight of insects. But with the recent fad about sustainable food sources and the fact that entomophagy is a common practice for tens of thousands of years. I decided (which i totally regretted after) to try some with @mingasaur (for some moral support)

    Cricket ramen noodles making kit. I bought it online. It looks like a normal ramen if there isn't fried cricket topping on the noodles. But it knead crickets into the noodles and the soup is crickets broth. The fried cricket looks scary, but I like crunchy texture and tastes like a senbei rice cracker. The ramen soup is soy sauce based with yuzu citrus scent. By the way, insect eating has gradually gathered attention in Japan. Muji Ryohin Keikaku released crickets rice cracker recently and the selling is well. Do you like insect eating?

    Old and new Entomophagy. The old one is canned Grasshopper(Inago no tsukudani). Some of us Japanese traditionally eat them cooked in sweetened soy sauce. The New one is Giant water bug soda pop(Tagame cider). Both of them(especially Grasshopper) are gross, but the taste are pretty yummy.
