Here’s proof of my biggest parenting tip: Make time to be silly and have fun with your kidsssssss I am the Rules Enforcer in the house so a lot of the time I have to keep a straight face. My boys respect that and follow the rules when they are asked to because they know Mommy isn’t always stern and mean…. It’s important that they learn when to behave and when to let loose, as do we! I don’t believe that there should be a “Cop Parent” where one of us is always mean and the other is the one that the child runs to. It shouldn’t work like that. Adulting is tough enough, let alone PARENTING! With Love 愛 The school I went to was an unusual one in southern Oregon. On a microscopic level, eight countries were represented on this team: Arthur couldn’t play because of eligibility issues but man was he popular with the ladies. Joshua would always bring his 120% and became the enforcer a year later. Dilshod was like a 30-year-old big brother to everyone. Artem has never touched a ball but could be dunking on people by the end. Yasha was a stretch-four before it was cool. Damian always wears a smile and the lovely Aussie accent. Joey could take anyone on the block with his patented banker. James cared about his hair more than anything. Kang was an athlete, musician, linguist, man of many talents. Deionte cracked the most hilarious jokes on the road. Stanley took hits from opponents because he was so good. Harrison was legit smart on and off the court. We didn’t always get along, there were instances we disrespected each other, we even trade punches a couple times. We didn’t always appreciate the diversity on the team, the individual talents sometimes outweighed the team. The group of kids needed a leader. Schaak was the coach, mentor, the Beethoven. On our own we were black, brown, yellow, white, together we were harmony. We be ourselves and produced largely because of our coach. I regret not taking the time to listen, experience, enjoy our diversity. Is it too late to call my brothers today? I think we all know the answer.
