1. 什麼是氣泡水(Carbonated water)？

氣泡水是在高壓下將二氧化碳氣體打入水中的飲料，因此水會產生氣泡，又被稱為蘇打水、碳酸水。氣泡水通常會添加鹽(鈉)，或其他的礦物質，以增添風味。氣泡水的弱酸性已被證實像芥末一樣，能刺激口腔裡的神經，引發刺痛感，但卻能帶來快感。

2. 氣泡水會損害牙齒健康嗎？

很多人愛喝氣泡水，但最介意的就是它可能會傷害牙齒健康。對此，研究發現，比起白開水，碳酸飲料的確會傷害到一些牙齒的琺瑯質(Enamel)，但是含糖飲料對牙齒的傷害力更強大，比礦泉水高出100倍。

其實，含糖的汽水比無糖的汽水更傷牙齒，有項研究將琺瑯質放入各種碳酸飲料中，浸泡24小時後，發現浸泡在含糖碳酸飲料中的傷害最明顯。並且綜觀許多其他研究，都認為糖和碳酸的結合，會嚴重腐蝕牙齒。

3. 氣泡水會影響骨骼健康嗎？

許多人都知道碳酸飲料會使骨質流失，但有項大型觀察研究表示，可樂才是唯一和骨質密度降低最有關的飲料，氣泡水對骨頭健康則沒有太大的影響，因為可樂含有大量的磷(Phosphorus)，易造成骨質流失。

4. 氣泡水能改善食慾和消化嗎？

研究指出，氣泡水可以改善吞嚥能力，一項實驗中，16位受試者被要求多次吞下不同的飲料，結果發現，氣泡水最能刺激負責吞嚥的神經。此外，和白開水相比，氣泡水更能延長飯後的飽足感，使食物在胃中停留的時間更長。而且研究表示，氣泡水有助於緩解便祕，並改善消化不良的症狀，如胃痛等。

5. 喝氣泡水會使身體變酸性嗎？

不會，雖然氣泡水的pH值為3~4，是微酸性，但是我們的腎和肺能去除多餘的二氧化碳(偏酸性)，所以腎和肺功能正常的人，無論吃什麼，血液還是能維持在pH值7.35~7.45的微鹼性範圍。
