It's been close to 9 years since I formed my very first female team to compete in Dota tournaments, but the general view when it comes to female players have not improved much since; there often exists this atmosphere of contempt or skepticism, as well as a tendency for body-shaming and gender-based insults.

But in comparison, more and more girls nowadays know how to protect or stand up for themselves better, often choosing to voice out in the face of unjust treatment, and by doing that they send a loud and clear message to discourage the perpetrators, instead of staying silent in fear of offending people (what we were often taught to do), and as a result normalizing problematic behaviors such as sexual harassment or cyberbullying.

The numerous sexual harassment cases that've surfaced over the years in the esports scene were only the tip of the iceberg; each of the survivors displayed admirable courage in voicing out against bad actors in the scene, in spite of the power or influence the perpetrators might have, to share their harrowing stories with the rest of us. And with that they created opportunities for us to empathize and share in their experiences, which in turn allows the views and thinking of the community to evolve as a collective whole.

Every single voice matters. As time passes and people get more empathetic and vocal when it comes to such issues, slowly but surely, the scene will improve.

Hope to see the day where esports can finally be a safe space for women. ❤️

Knowing how to sell will serve you in all areas of life…

    Most of all business.

This should come as no surprise,

But it’s shocking to me how many people get into business who don't know how to sell.

If you can empathize with and give a damn about your prospects…

Uncover their challenges and pain points...

    And handle objections with finesse…

Then you won't have to suffer the same fate as 95% of businesses who have to close their business due to lack of revenue.

How would you rate your sales skills from 1 to 10 right now?

we really don't know when things will get any better. All we can try to do is help, whichever way possible.

A father of an acquaintance just took his last breath yesterday, battling the virus.

People who have not even stepped out still get affected somehow. It is stressful! I can imagine how often MANY people breakdown or have suicidal thoughts.

i empathize everyone including the foreigners in Malaysia. The only thing that can keep us truly ALIVE, is LOVE.

    ♥️

Today I’m talking with Luke Ranieri (@ScorpioMartianus) who literally speaks fluent Latin and conversational Ancient Greek. He’s part of a small community of speakers around the world who have kept the Latin language alive, even though as a native language of Ancient Rome it died out over a thousand years ago. For him, learning Latin is about the community but most importantly about accessing the huge body of literature, ancient and modern, written in Latin. It was really cool to hear him talk about the way that his ability to speak Latin has allowed him to empathize with ancient Roman literature at a much higher level.

We talked about what Latin sounded like and how he and people like him have accurately reconstructed the pronunciation — he’s not just making this stuff up! We also talked about learning Latin and the way Latin is taught in high schools in the U.S. and the U.K., and as you can imagine Luke certainly has a lot of thoughts about that! I studied Latin and Ancient Greek in high school and it was interesting to compare experiences with Luke.

Make sure to check out Luke’s YouTube channels at @ScorpioMartianus and @polýMATHY

    今回は、自分が抱えてきた感情をテーマにして、この曲を作りました。
I made this song about my sadness that I've been feeling for a long time.

    この曲の歌詞は、一見ネガティヴに捉えられるかもしれませんが、僕の中ではこれも一つの「愛の歌」です。
When you see the lyrics of this song, Maybe you guys will think like "What a negative song.
But I just want to say that this is one of my love songs.

    時には、寂しい人物が主人公のストーリーを見て、共感をしたり、ネガティヴな感情を発散できることもあると思います。
Sometimes we empathize and reduce the pain inside of our heart by watching stories that are written about lonely people like us,right?

    あなたが不安な時に、この曲がその不安を発散する一つのきっかけになったら、嬉しいです。
So when you're insecure,I hope that this song will be somthing that will reduce your pain.

For the month of Ramadan, that is when our Muslim brothers and sisters would fast every day from dawn to sunset. Muslims do this both as a spiritual and a physical exercise, used to strengthen their own resolve and self-control. Refraining from food and drink strengthens our ability to empathize with those experiencing hunger and thirst as a daily reality.

Today's podcast, I speak with Kam Izzwan - asian powerlifting champion, former bodybuilder, coach, entrepreneur and co founder of Physique For You Gym on the Fitness Guide For Ramadan.

For those embarking on a fitness journey, or for those who are already actively in one and you just so happen to be Muslim - we touch on how you can still maintain your healthy lifestyle while fasting. I'll be asking him the following questions:

    Understanding what is fasting
What happens to the body during fasting?
Similarities between Ramadan fasting and Intermittent Fasting.
Best Options to eat during sahur and buka puasa.
How to maintain the gains during Ramadan.
How to maintain the weight loss after Ramandan.
When is the best time to workout and what kind of exercises for Ramadan
