Snippet from last week where I experimented with the Ellipsoidal Source 4 lighting which beamed just enough light to illuminate the models' pathway without spilling out onto the audience. We supplemented the set with spots, washes and sharpies to create the immersive runway experience in a mall environment. It was particularly challenging to program the lights without a trussing system but I'm quite happy with the outcome. I love jobs like these where the client gives me the freehand to play with all the elements and live-mix a killer soundtrack, with all the equipment that I need, and without someone breathing down my neck.
