比 HIV 更可怕的 TIV —— 人際受害傾向 Tendency for Interpersonal Victimhood

心理學期刊 Personality and Individual Differences，當中心理學家拉哈夫．加貝（Rahav Gabay）和同事發表研究，提出人際受害傾向（Tendency for Interpersonal Victimhood，TIV）的概念，意思指社會上有種人，持續自我感覺在人際關係中受到迫害，並將其受害人身份放大，成為其性格組成的核心部分…… 好吧騙你啦，我是為了約會時嚇唬女生，才在網上找些晦澀到會引發便秘的文章來複述。雖然連自己也不明白，幹嘛總喜歡說在早餐時讀到？恐怕連作者爸媽也不想一起床就讀這些吧！或許引證了「求生之書」（The Gift of Fear）作者所言，作案者愈心虛，其謊言就愈喜歡堆砌細節，這書我真讀過啦，堆砌細節正是第四章討論「七個事前指標」的第三個點…… 好吧，細節又太多了，對吧？話說回來，根據研究，人際受害傾向者通常具備四大特質：

道德精英主義（moral elitism）
認為自己在道德上一直純潔無瑕，甚至從小成績就名列前茅，工作上好打得，事不避難，千錯萬錯皆他人錯，並通過指責他人不道德、不公平、自私或對其誤解來控制別人，無視及打壓異議。
認同需求（need for acknowledgment）
經常複述自身所受的怨屈，渴望自己的痛苦被觀眾看見與被承認，需要施害者為其錯誤行為承擔責任並表達歉意（或依法受刑），從而企圖讓自身獲得社會同情與支持。
對他人痛苦缺乏同理心（lack of sympathy）
過於關注自身受害者的身份，以至覺得自己有權利在過百萬人表示反對其意見後，仍可全然漠視他人所受的痛苦和折磨，直接做出攻擊性和自私行徑。
反芻含怨（rumination）
自問含怨多過入油含鉛，經常反復談論自身以往含怨受屈的經歷，而不是提出可能的解決方案。TIV 者往往會認為自己是他人消極行為的受害者。可能因為世上假新聞和黑記充斥，外界才對他們產生如此強烈的誤解與不公懲罰。當這種反芻持續一段長時間後，會內在加強 TIV 者的攻擊性。即使未有肢體攻擊，仍然可能以「西面」作出表態還擊。
研究中有項實驗，參加者與電腦共同進行一個分錢遊戲，但參加者被騙對手也是人類。而當錢被分得很不均勻時，參加者被告之有一選項，就是可透過減少對手的錢，但不增加自己的錢來向對手進行報復。實驗結果顯示，人際受害傾向較嚴重者，哪怕他們明知自己無法通過此舉來獲利，但仍會更多去選擇減少對手的錢。且參加者的負面情緒愈強烈，就愈有可能進行報復性行為。

廣東話中，人稱“丁蟹”

受疫情 (pandemic) 影響，去年4月開始主打以語音對話互動的新興社群平台「Clubhouse」在許多封城 (lockdown)的歐美國家開始盛行，朋友之間爭相詢問「邀請碼 (invitation code)」。

在拍賣平台上，一組邀請碼目前能賣到上千元台幣。宛若多人的「Podcast」或是新型態「RC語音」，想註冊 (register)得先由已註冊用戶提供邀請碼，才能透過邀請碼成為新用戶，即使成功加入後，每名用戶也僅能發出兩個邀請碼。

你會否有、或者曾經有一個疑問：點解食肆的酒，永遠要mark up三、四倍，令人有被搶劫的感覺？
尤其在歐洲北部，很多餐廳都被詬病："The food was often excellent, but the wine mark-ups insulted the intelligence of their audience"。

甜品時間， 來一瓶超值之選，不必老是d’Yquem的，1953年的甜酒67歲了，毫無老態，不費吹灰地鮮活風騷.........

突發「笑著流淚」林格X肥仔 雙人展 | 「Joy in Misery」Works by Lin Ge & Fatty Ho ﹗﹗﹗

尻下尻下又一年~ 是但喇~

金權專政、強人民主、狂言總統，日不落退歐，退精英化，個人主義抬頭，當前的世界是一個前所未有的局面，對上一次或許數到文藝復興時期，讓知識與文字普及，但這趟的顛覆與以往截然不同，轉化中很多時沒有帶領者或許不久的將來權威會進一步失去原有的價值。

回看我們的寶地，過去數年的人均生產總值世界排名不斷攀升、名列前茅，我們擁有15年免費教育，完善的醫療體系、社會保障，政府福利更是世上罕有的完美，由出生、成長、教育、就業、醫療、養老、到死亡，樣樣照顧妥貼，走出街，雖然沒有Uber但公交有補貼，每年還有現金分享，對比起動盪的世界格局，這地方實在離地得可愛。

踏入2018年，尋藝會第一場展覽，我們將為大家帶來兩位出色的年輕藝術家，分別是，林格與肥仔，二位一直以文字、插畫、電繪、短片等方式在不同領域發表作品，緣分將我們牽連在一起，今天聚首在同一展場，以笑中有淚的全新作品，嘗試在離地的地面，觀察生活、探討生命，我們到底快樂嗎？在真話難宣的日子裡，好在還有藝術，期望透過這場展出，讓更多朋友多關心世界以致周邊的日常。

Plutocracy, dictatorial democracy, boastful president, Brexit, weakening elitism and the rise of individualism form an unprecedented situation in the world today. Looking back at history, the last great change may be the Renaissance which popularized knowledge and words. However, the current subversion is entirely different from the past since there is usually no leader in the transformation. Perhaps authority will lose further its original value in the near future.

Talking about our blessed land, its world GDP per capita ranking has been continuously rising and dominating the top of the list over the past few years. We have 15-year free education, well-established healthcare system, social security, and the welfare from the government is extraordinarily perfect compared with other places in the world, it covers every stage of our life: from birth, growth, education, career, medical care, retirement until death. Though Uber is no longer available, we have public transport fare subsidy. We can also share the fruits of its economic development under the Wealth Partaking Scheme annually. In contrast to the turbulent global pattern, this place is unrealistically lovely.

In the first exhibition of Find Art Association in 2018, we are going to introduce two talented young artists – Lin Ge and Fatty Ho. They have been publishing works in various areas through words, illustration, computer graphics and short film etc. Fate brings us together in this exhibition with artworks of “Joy in Misery”, let’s try to observe and explore life in this unrealistic city, and we may question ourselves: are we really happy? It is hard to reveal our true self in our life, fortunately, there is art. I hope this exhibition can inspire more people to care about the world and their surroundings.

The Fulbright Program is one of the most prestigious awards programs worldwide involving over 180 countries. Since 1963, almost a thousand Malaysian have been recipients of this world-renown award including Marina Mahathir, Ramli Ibrahim, Mr. Lewis Pragasam and Senator Koh Tsu Koon.

The Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) established in 1963 promotes inter-cultural understanding through education and educational exchange between Malaysia and the United States.

While most Malaysians shy away from applying to the Fulbright program because of its perceived elitism, a recent interview with MACEE executive director, Dr James Coffman, shed light on the selection process.

Coffman reiterates that MACEE looks for individuals of passion, dynamism and character; who are inspirational and leaders in their own right. They have a good sense of what areas of study they intend to pursue and how these might contribute to their professional development. If this describes you, then Coffman would encourage you to apply.

He stresses that there has to be a sense of balance about the candidate; he or she needs to have strong sense of purpose and be able to carry herself well enough to represent Malaysia.

Among the areas of study offered are in the arts, speech therapy, voice measurement, psychology, behavioral science, dance, photo-journalism, teaching, political science, and HIV/AIDS policy and prevention.

There are a wide variety of grants available through MACEE for educational exchange. Grants for Malaysians include the Fulbright Malaysian Scholar Program, Fulbright Malaysian Professional Exchange Program, Fulbright Graduate Study and Research Program, the International Fulbright Science and Technology Award, Hubert H. Humphrey Program, and the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program.
