The more advantages you have in the natural, the more likely you will mistakenly think that it is by those advantages that you receive good outcomes in life. Actually, it is always God who makes those natural advantages effective for you, and for the right timing such that things turn out for your good.

We need to live with confidence in the Holy Spirit, not in our own might or power.

If Gideon had driven back Israel’s enemies with the 32,000 men, he and the children of Israel might think that it was because of the strength of their army and how well-trained they were.

God stripped that possibility away by reducing the army to only 300 men. They didn’t even fight physically. All they did was to hold lamps and smash an earthen vessel on the ground, shouting “The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon,” and the enemies fought among themselves until they were all destroyed.

It’s like God wanted Israel to clearly see that He is the one fighting for Israel, and that natural advantages are not needed when they have Him. He is the ultimate advantage!

Have you you experienced a thinning down of your ‘army’ in any area of your life? If God allows you to lose out temporarily and be down to very little, He is setting you up for a clear miracle.

When He restores you for the losses, you and those around you will clearly see that it is God who has done it, for in the natural, what is about to happen is impossible. With God, there is nothing that is impossible so let faith arise. You shall see the victory in your circumstances for the hand of the Lord is moving mightily in it!

When God restores, He adds His shalom (all-encompassing prosperity), to that area of loss. No matter how you have lost, you will become a gainer through God’s restoration. As you receive wave after wave of restoration, you will prosper and eventually become very prosperous. This revelation is what inspired this book. At that time, the Holy Spirit said that God wants to prosper us in all things through His restoration. He is putting what is broken and missing back to their ideal places in your life. God will rearrange things for your good.

After you overcome each challenge, God does not leave you as broken pieces. He restores you by putting you back together and sealing the cracks with gold—the workings of His Grace. You become more precious and valuable than if you did not go through hardships.

The Japanese art of Kintsugi is a perfect illustration of this. The practitioner takes a broken earthen vessel, assembles the pieces, and literally seals the cracks with gold. It is restored as a beautiful art piece, more valuable than before it was broken.

Pierce the Veil

“Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish; in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:3-4‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

The good news (Gospel) of Jesus Christ is actually gloriously bright. It is so dazzling that Satan has used all sorts of methods to “veil” the Gospel from unbelievers.

Slandering methods:
“Going to church is so boring!”
“The Bible is so ancient and outdated. We live in the 21st century now.”
“God is not real—that concept is just a crutch for weak losers.”
“Look at that pastor who embezzled money from his church. All these churches are just out to con people of their money. Don’t be a fool!”

If that doesn’t work, he may try to heap condemnation and feelings of unworthiness in unbelievers:
“Church is for holy people. You are a rotten sinner. If you step into church, God will strike you down immediately.”
“You, go to church? Don’t make me laugh—you’re probably the worst kind of sinner there is.”

In many shows and movies, Christians are portrayed as weird people who others stay far away from.

Sometimes, preachers help the devil’s agenda by preaching that God is angry with everyone, and that we should be afraid of His punishment. There is almost no mention of God’s love, and it is frequently preaching against sin.

Then, there is the example that Christians set. Some believers get into embarrassing arguments on social media, live just like the unbelievers so that there is no discernible difference, and are so devoid of love and compassion—instead, they are constantly judging and criticizing.

In all these, the glorious light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ becomes veiled. The world can’t see the full measure of light because of all the bad things they have heard and seen about Christianity.

It is time to pierce these demonic veils. To unleash the full light of the Gospel, we must preach Jesus Christ based on what we read about Him doing in the four Gospels and beyond.

When you show how Jesus is full of grace and truth, how He demonstrates the Father’s heart of love and mercy towards the world through His miracles, words and actions, the veil of unbelief will be pierced through.

People will see a good, generous God who is full of love, who welcomes sinners to freely receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

We have a beautiful Gospel to share. It is a precious treasure we have in these earthen vessels (our flesh). Let the light shine, and darkness will scatter!
