Salam Jumaah Everyone! ❤️ Assalamualaikum, Bonjour and Hello world:) I am Nahyan Bilal Jeanpierre and I was born on 10th November 2017 at 7.54pm. Weighing 3.8kg and 57cm long:) Today, I want to share with you my maman's birth story. On 9th Nov at 4.30am, maman's waterbag burst while she was sleeping. Night before, she did squats and zumba with papa, aunty Nini and cousin Naila in hope that I will soon arrive. I absolutely did.😜 I heard maman and papa getting ready. They arrived at the hospital at 7am, checked in straight to the delivery suit and registered. My Maman had a check and she was only 2cm dilated. If my waterbag had not burst first, maman and papa would have done her labour at home and only come in when it was about time to give birth to me:). She was warded and had to wait for contractions to occur regularly, so she could dilate. Time passed and by the time the clock reached 4.30pm (12 hours after waterbag burst), my maman was only at 2cm. By this time, her contractions were already at 15 minutes interval. She knew she had a long way to go but she fought hard for me. Doctors /nurses came in and started offering antibiotics because they were concerned that infections could occur due to "No more wall protection" for me (waterbag burst), but my maman was such a strong lady that she refused, knowing how antibiotics can affect me in the long run. She stayed grounded and kept her focus. She made sure my heartbeat was still fine and she had faith in Allah that everything would be ok. 12 hours later (24 hours after waterbag burst), 10th November, 4.30AM, Maman fought through her contractions and soon enough she dilated to 4cm. However, 4cm remained till 6pm on the same day (38 hours after waterbag burst) and I heard maman fighting through her 1 minute contractions interval without any epidural/gas from 3.30pm-6pm. Maman was positive that her dilation would at least reach 10cm by that time as gynae mentioned for normal ladies, 1cm contraction is already active labour and just about pushing the baby out.
