🇭🇰 Four Seasons Chinese restaurant is an import from London Chinatown, with branches across the globe and Hong Kong's second location finally arriving on Central's Wellington Street. We came for its signature roasted duck which was lauded by Financial Times as the world's best - one that was indeed deliciously tender but dicey using a bird from Thailand, while the barbecue pork had an even fat and lean distribution, accompanied by a mildly sweet dipping sauce; well complimented by a bowl of smooth lai fun noodle. Meanwhile, its sweet and sour pork adhered to a traditional recipe with tangy pineapples, while the recommended deep fried squid was thickly-battered in large portions, resembling its British original. All set in simplistic no frills decor, Four Seasons is a home of old school recipes and the appropriate setting to match; along side its acclaimed roasted duck offered at palatable prices, that is finally available at Hong Kong's most bustling office district. 🇭🇰 G Room is the newest western-Asian bar and lounge concept from Gaia Group, located across from its sister eatery Glasshouse Greenery at Tsim Sha Tsui's swanky K11 Musea.  We came for its signature large bites which included the suckling pig that was fair in taste, but with a skin that could be crispier.  Meanwhile, of its pastas, the sea urchin rendition was enjoyable in a umami-filled seafood broth, while the red prawn spaghetti was a let down - with dicey prawn bits and unfresh cherry tomatoes which required us to return to the kitchen.  This was washed down by a pair of red sangria's, complimentary to diners at the moment.  Immersed with 360-degree LED screens with changing motifs, G Room is designed to transport one out of Hong Kong; but with spotty service from shared staff with its sister plus faulty dishes, this creative concept certainly misses the spot, and renders as one of the weakest entries in Gaia Group's diversed portfolio.
