A while ago I got the opportunity to take part in Milk X x Johnnie Walker's special on sustainability. My mom has always instilled in us the concept of sustainability at a young age and 6 years ago when I started Basics for Basics was when I delve deeper into thinking about what it means to combine my passion for fashion and giving back. When you realise how much fashion contributes to what is currently happening to our planet it is hard to turn a blind eye. So with Basics, I like to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our manufacturing process and to use biodegradable packaging as a few of our steps in becoming an even more sustainable brand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm hoping that with me sharing my journey and experience on sustainability through my brand that it will inspire more people to make small changes to help better our planet.
