Long ago, after battling the Minamoto clan,a samurai of the defeated Taira clan retreated deep into the mountains and found the Omaki area hot springs, where he rested and healed his wounded body. 主な変更点としては、タイトルが副題付きに変更、ステージが8つに増加、武器の種類が変更等。

BGMはサイオブレード(X-1,88,MD)や、遙かなるオーガスタ(98/'89年)等の長谷川氏が編曲。
MSX2版に比べ、ベースやドラムの鋭敏さが際立ち、よりハードな構成になった。
