復活島是一個快樂的小島，許多動物都無憂無慮的生活着，馬和狗會在島上跋足狂奔，小狗們更會追逐汽車，並且跟着你回家。那裏充滿歷史的氣色和神奇的摩艾。海水很清澈，在陽光的照耀下變成淺藍色。儘管資源匱乏，旅遊業蓬勃推使經濟得以發展。

其實許多年前的復活島，並非現今幸福快樂的的模樣。 當年為了不停的雕製摩艾，島上的資源終不斷耗損；王朝的沒落伴隨內戰和外來人的入侵，原居民被送到島外當奴隸；幸存的少數奴隸回到復活島時，他們把內陸的疾病一併帶回來，對原居民做成極大的傷害。在這段時期，這個島嶼成為了羊的養殖場，而島上的人被隔離，不能踏入島上的其他地方。

徘徊在復活島，你不會感覺到這段黑暗的歲月，亦不能想像這裏曾是森林。海岸附近的部落遺跡，你會看到一個個倒下的摩艾，這除了象徵着部落的衰亡，也顯示出島民在物資缺乏下民盡其用的的創造力。

The island is a happy island. Many horses are running over the wild and dogs are running round the city, chasing cars and following you to home. It is full of preserved history and magical moais. The sea is so clean that it reflects a light blue color under sun shine. Despite scare resources, the economic is growing very well thanks to the booming of tourism.

The island was not always a happy island. The kingdom falls as more moais were built and the resources were finally obsoleted. It follows by internal war and foreign invasion leading to slavary. When the few slaves could finally return home, they carried decease from mainland further sickening the islanders. In certain moments, the island was occupied for sheep farming while the islanders were isolated from reaching out other parts of the island.

Wandering around the island, you will not sense any of these dark ages and cannot image the island was actually full of tree in the past. Meanwhile, the falling of Moais around the island would still symbolize the fall of the great clans despite their ability to build huge stone statues is an island with such limited resources and also proves the creativity of human kind.
