I mistook Isidore’s 🇲🇾 flag for a fish, but his interpretation reflects my sentiments of the political landscape here in Malaysia. It’s far from perfect or ideal - so I will play my role of being a contributing Malaysian because I ❤️‍🔥 my country. Collectively , citizens can come together to help the administration manage the pandemic so we can all move on and restore not just our health, but our livelihoods too. How? It can start with being responsible, compassionate and wise in our lifestyle. Something as simple as adhering to SOPs and managing our waste management responsibly… to something more proactive like bringing upon change and being a voice to the voiceless, the vulnerable, the sick and the dying. Pic - My letter before leaving Earth 2007 Thanks to Aiman , I found the letter which I wrote to my parents way back in 2007 - a day before I flew off to Space . I was at Baikonaur Kazakhstan , all alone quarantined for 2 weeks with training without my loved ones ... My parents did come down a day before and we chat through a glass window . I could see tears in their eyes especially Mom . It was necessary - as even a flu will disallow me from going to Space . I had mixed emotions back then - thrilled , excitement , scared , sense of loss all in one . I knew the risk was high and anything could happen Was it really necessary taking all these risk leaving your loved ones behind ? I trust my faith to Allah and no one else . Its all written our destiny . I have always struggled during my teenage years searching for that piece on the purpose of life . Always asking ' Why are we here ? ' I have been soul-searching all my life and I truly have found it in Space . I am now feel complete upon my return to Earth. Those were the days ... I never shared this letter to anyone . I even forgotten about it till today . Just wanted to share with Everyone how my journey to Space changes my perspective on life as a whole . I am glad to announce and update from the office of YB @maszlee. I shall quote directly from the update I received from one of his special officers. "what we agreed on, and he instructed the Ministry that from now on, any CSRs with fast food companies cannot use the fast food logos. Can use their CSR arm/bigger companies logo but not the fast food brand specifically. Unfortunately the work on McD has started so they can't reverse that, but for future collaborations" "Eg: for KFC, we can mention we're working with QSR but no displaying of KFC logo anywhere" This is great news for our movement to protect schools & students from being used for CSR campaigns in the media etc. Next we need to tackle and disallow the use of KPM logos in ANY fast food marketing materials. For this, Dr Maszlee's office said: "We did talk about that specifically but no decision made on that front. I see your concern about the recent McD marketing campaign with KPM" That said, guidelines are being drafted to ensure that the use of logo is prohibited. Congratulations for everyone who helped raise awareness for this issue. THANK YOU! This is only the beginning.
