    @wildbloomssg’s pineapple tarts are all handmade with (Osmanthus ones infused with real Osmanthus tea brew!) and homemade pineapple jam. 😍

    My family almost finished it liao! Our favorite is the Golden Osmanthus (Gold foil) coz it’s lightly scented with tea fragrance and absolutely not too sweet or coyly! 😋

    I came across this post from Bangs and a Bun yesterday and wanted to share it because it resonated with me. I'm a blogger who doesn't fit and has never fit into the traditional mould of beauty bloggers here in Asia. Heck I don't even fit into the traditional mould of what is perceived to be 'pretty' locally - I'm not a perky 20-something nor skinny, nor trendy or fashionable, nor do I wear long hair to swish or pose coyly behind, nor do I do makeup very well. I've never conformed to the local ideals of beauty all my life and you know what? I'm fine with it. It took me a while, but I don't really care anymore these days, because this is me - not some paper doll. Be fine with who you are - not all of us can be that media-hyped, instagram-pretty, contoured to an inch of our life ideal; but we can all be kind and clever and a success in our own right.

    i witnessed something in bangsar today that really warmed my heart.

    my friend sharil and i were having lunch at our favorite nasik padang place, and in came this indian guy, who was peddling pens. we said, 'no' and he went away. but then he went to the next table, and the malay people there bought some pens from him. what really shocked me was after they bought the pen from him, the malay man's wife asked him, "dah makan?", to which he just smiled coyly. and then she asked the pen-seller to go get food, and join them at their table for lunch. two complete strangers of different races, being nice to each other. for no reason. it was just so sweet.

    anytime these asshole shit-stirrers try to tell you that the different races in this country can't get along with each other, remind yourselves that there's so many examples of 'muhibbah' that we can find in our everyday lives. there's so many forms of 'muhibbah' that we could propagate in each other's lives.

    it made me feel proud to be a malaysian today, when i saw that.
