Rower Joan Poh was the first Team Singapore athlete to compete at the Tokyo 2020 Games this morning. The Olympic debutant is a member of the Singapore contingent. This year, we have sent a sizeable contingent, with 12 sports represented - our highest number ever! I’m proud of all our athletes giving their best in Tokyo, despite the challenges in the run-up to it.

The opening ceremony of the Games will be shown live on Channel 5 at 7pm tonight. When you see our national flag bearers appear with our contingent, do clap and cheer for them!

Saya ingin mengucapkan selamat maju jaya kepada para atlet kebangsaan yang akan bertanding di Sukan Olimpik Tokyo 2020 dari 23 Julai hingga 8 Ogos nanti. Seramai 30 orang atlet negara bakal bertanding dalam 27 acara yang melibatkan 10 jenis sukan.

Saya yakin atlet-atlet kita mampu berdaya saing dengan para atlet negara lain di persada dunia untuk mencapai kecemerlangan. Tahniah juga saya ucapkan kepada YB Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican bin Naina Merican, Menteri Belia dan Sukan atas usaha beliau dalam memastikan kontinjen negara dapat pergi ke Olimpik Tokyo kali ini walaupun berdepan cabaran pandemik Covid-19 yang masih berterusan.

I would like to wish all the best to all national athletes competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games from July 23 to August 8. 30 national athletes will compete in 27 events of 10 different sports.

I am confident that our athletes will be able to compete with athletes of other countries on the world stage to achieve excellence. I would also like to congratulate Minister of Youth and Sports YB Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican bin Naina Merican for his efforts in ensuring the national contingent were able to go for the Tokyo Olympics despite facing challenges of the ongoing Covid-19.

In Cthulhu: Death May Die, inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, you and your fellow players represent investigators in the 1920s who instead of trying to stop the coming of Elder Gods, want to summon those otherworldly beings so that you can put a stop to them permanently. You start the game insane, and while your long-term goal is to shoot Cthulhu in the face, so to speak, at some point during the game you'll probably fail to mitigate your dice rolls properly and your insanity will cause you to do something terrible — or maybe advantageous. Hard to know for sure.

The game has multiple episodes, and each of them has a similar structure of two acts, those being before and after you summon whatever it is you happen to be summoning. If any character dies prior to the summoning, then the game ends and you lose; once the Elder One is on the board, as long as one of you is still alive, you still have a chance to win.

The episodes are all standalone and not contingent on being played in a certain order or with the same players.
