Netflix reveals the top ten lists for non-English films and series in the U.S.; comedies and romances are out, action is very much in.

Netflix公佈了他們在美國的前十名非英語電影以及劇集，喜劇跟愛情片皆未入榜，動作片相當受歡迎

🇺🇸One of the most popular foreign movies on Netflix in the U.S. is “Kidnapping Stella,” a German thriller about a pregnant hostage who battles and outwits her captors. It’s relatively low on subtitles or dubbed dialogue, lacks obscure cultural references and fits into an easily recognizable genre. Americans are one of its biggest audiences.

在美國Netflix上最受歡迎的外語片之一是「史黛拉失蹤事件簿」，這是一部德國電影，劇情描述一位遭綁架的懷孕的婦女與綁匪交鋒最後智取他們的故事，他的字幕和配音相對較少，同時也沒有晦澀的文化內容，屬於容易辨識的類別，美國人就是這類影片最大的觀眾群。

😴“We tried to make the film look international and not German,” said writer-director Thomas Sieben, adding that Americans helped his film reach nearly 19 million global views in its first four weeks on the platform. “You have to really work hard to give the film the best look so that people don’t say, ‘Ugh, this looks like a typical German movie, I hate it.’ ”

編劇兼導演Thomas Sieben表示：「我們嘗試讓這影片看起來有國際感並且不那麼德國。」「我們付出了相當的心力來讓這部片呈現最好的樣貌，同時人們才不會說這影片就一副德國片的樣子，我不喜歡。」最後導演補充道美國人讓他的電影在上架四週內就達到了全球一千九百萬的觀影次數。

Rush hour reboot or Bad Boy 4? My favourite kinda films always have elements of clever wit or humour. Not necessarily literal comedies although anything Seth Rogen and James Franco seldom disappoints 😬
