The past week has not been an easy week to pass .. nearly everyday I would receive news of death from loved ones or people that I once knew … I won’t pretend it’s hard to act as if it’s ok..
The pandemic was once the popular reason but now suicidal terms n plots has taken on a toll😞
I’m writing this as a plea to YOU. I won’t claim to understand how you feel..
but I can tell you. Your not alone in this.
You lost your job , you are surrounded by bills and debts. You feel your shoulders heavy with shame, responsibility, expectation and sometimes failure. You feel that suffocation of the empty 4 walls tightening in and collapsing on you.. I am gonna be selfish cause I can’t stand to loose anymore of you and pretend that I am gonna be ok with that.. Everytime you feel that tight feeling or that darkness creeping .. I need you to breathe slow and deep. I want you to shut the world out and bring yourself to that happy place we once had. That awesome moment where it’s bright, it’s calm and it’s just filled with gratitude and peace.. where loved ones were kind and smiles and love filled the air. If you are far I need you to sense that I am clenching your hands tight and know as I promised before I am not letting go .. stay there as long as it takes so that the light will shine so bright and there’s no more darkness glooming over you anymore.. remember I LOVE YOU, WE LOVE YOU .. and if YOU love us .. don’t be selfish and let us have that last say…
If you do this for me .. I promise you I will be KIND…

I’m writing this for people that I love and who is going thru this current hard times.. if you think your loved ones is struggling too and think this will benefit them.. help me say hello and share this with them… 🙏🙏🙏 sometimes it’s not big gestures that they require but just some kind words to help them thru.. insyallah

「有沒有最厲害的牙醫師也無法治好的病人？」 一位患者問我：​

「有，#無法放過自己 的病人。」​
　　​
我猜這個回答絕對超出他的預期，"我是在問牙科的問題，怎麼變心理諮商?"這樣​
​
​
現實是，不論牙齒被破壞的多麼嚴重，我們牙醫師總能找到一兩個方法來處理，但有一種類型的患者，是我認為最難根治的：​
​
他們來看診時，總是拖著疲憊的身軀、面容緊繃；​
他們可能是職場女強人、新手爸媽、創業艱辛的30歲男子、受疫情影響的老闆......；​
他們的責任感重、求好心切、追求完美，是員工心中的好上司，是家長 Line 群中一致認同的模範父、母親...​
​
我甚至不用問他們最近過得好不好，因為所有的壓力 #都能從口腔觀察出來——牙齒耗損、臉部肌肉疼痛、咬合關節發炎。​

​
「這些是磨牙造成的。」​
​
​
每當我這麼說時，他們就會急著揮手否認：「不不不，我晚上不磨牙的。」​
​
「我沒說你是晚上磨的，#我說的是白天。」他們的手揮得更大力了。​
​
沒錯，白天也會磨牙，這又稱為 #緊咬型磨牙(Clenching)，指的是 #注意力集中時不自覺的咬緊牙齒。​
和夜間磨牙最大不同，在於它沒有上下排牙齒水平磨動的現象，就只是單純咬著、用力，因此常被忽視。​
​
現在壓壓你兩側耳朵正下方的臉頰及太陽穴後方，肌肉有沒有緊緊、痠痠的？​
下一次當你緊張、情緒激動時，試著稍微留意一下，不管你表情再怎麼努力淡定，嘴裡是不是正 #不自覺的咬緊牙關？ ​

〖＃咬緊牙關不好嗎？〗​
　　​
不一定，有時候我們需要借助這股咬緊牙關的力量，幫助我們處理許多緊急的事件，比如：​
　　​
耍帥幫女同事抬起 30 公斤的行李、聽慣老闆發表共體時艱宣言時忍住不吐槽，或是熬夜準備明天產品發表會的講稿...​
　　　　​
對於運動員來說，也需要這股力量來獲得好成績，像是棒球選手揮棒，拳擊手出拳、舉重選手舉起槓鈴，都需要 #咬緊牙關使出全力。然而，這也會對運動員的牙齒 #造成永久性的傷害​
　　　　　　​
倫敦大學曾做過一個研究，發現 352 名頂尖英國運動員當中，竟然有一半人都有牙齒問題，就算他們都一天刷兩次牙，也勤用牙線清潔。研究結果顯示，牙齒問題大多與運動員經常補充的運動飲料中含有大量糖份與酸性物質有關，運動員 #長期的壓力 與 #瞬間爆發 時所需的咬緊牙關也是一大原因。​

〖＃上下排牙齒其實很少閉合？〗​
　　​
你可能會納悶：上下牙齒咬著不是很正常嗎？但其實，人在一天中，#上下排牙齒閉合的時間加起來不到20分鐘，是不是比你想像的少很多？​
只有吃飯、吞嚥的時候，上下排牙齒會碰到彼此，而且每次都是少於一秒的短暫接觸；其他時候，上下牙齒都是放鬆分開的。​
​
不信的話實驗一下，將你的上下排牙齒咬在一起，不要放開，你會發現沒多久，臉頰、太陽穴，甚至肩頸就會開始感到有點痠，兩排牙齒自然就會鬆開了。​

〖＃為什麼會白天磨牙？〗​
​
白天磨牙，原因很多，但追溯到源頭多半與 #精神壓力 有關，焦慮、憂慮、憤怒...，通常伴隨胃腸道疾病、頭痛、內分泌紊亂等身心症狀出現，常發生在完美主義者、性格內向、生活不規律，或情緒易激動的人身上，特別是正在為事業衝刺的 30 到 50 歲中壯年。​
​
​
〖＃白天磨牙會有什麼後果？〗​
​
全口牙齒長期負擔過大的力量，就容易牙床吸收、牙齒磨損、崩落、甚至裂開，造成牙齒隱隱作痛、敏感、搖動等等。​
尤其是蛀過的牙齒，就算有填補過，也是拚裝出來的牙齒，現在又每天給它巨大壓力，有的一裂就到牙根，醫師即使有心也難以挽救...​
​
也有人牙齒沒問題，但關節卻有問題，耳朵前面痠痛、嘴巴張不開、無法講話咀嚼...等，這也被稱為「#顳顎關節症候群」。​

〖＃應該怎麼預防白天磨牙？〗​
　​
讀到這裡，你會不會越看越擔心，然後臉頰又開始繃緊了？​
如何減緩這種緊咬的狀況呢？這裡教大家一個方法：​
​
當你發現自己咬緊牙關時​
​
1. 請將嘴巴微微張開，輕輕地將舌尖抵到上顎門牙的後端​
2. 用鼻子自然地呼吸十次，輕輕感受呼吸的氣流進入身體的感覺​
3. 用這短短的時間放空一下大腦，什麼都不用做，給自己一個停下來的空間​
​
常常這樣練習，可幫助你放鬆緊繃的肌肉及過度激發的神經系統。​
定時提醒自己放鬆， #有意識地 觀察口腔狀況，是不是又自己咬起來了。​
​
日間緊咬是一個徵兆，它提醒你壓力可能過載了。​
別擔心，事情總有一天做得完的。​
分辨對你真正重要的事、做能做到的、放下不能改變的，慢慢餘裕就會增加。​
先好好照顧自己，才有力氣照顧身邊重要的人​
