[防疫居家期間，你有沒有熬夜呢？]
-科學根據告訴你，熬夜對身體的影響

最近因為疫情
很多人居家上班、線上上課
不知道有沒有因為少了交通時間
晚上就開始越來越晚睡？
（好啦！我自己是這樣....）

老一輩的人很常唸說熬夜對身體不好
原因來自中醫一種說法叫「生理時鐘」
舉例：半夜1點走肝經，早晨三點走肺經...
不同時間代表著不同器官的修復。

過去門診中，被許多患者詢問過數此論述
甚至有帶女兒來門診的媽媽要求我
說服女兒早點睡，肝才會好

過去我一致說法是
「這是中醫的說法、西醫沒有」
（我不認同有生理時鐘，但我同意睡眠品質好的重要性）

因為我身為 #台灣基因營養功能醫學協會 理事
固定一段時間，我們就必須分享一些新知
前段時間又輪到我分享了
我花了點時間，想找篇連我令我驚喜的文章
結果看到了這一篇....

這篇文章來自NEJM（新英格蘭醫學雜誌）
其中有一篇文獻綜述（review article）
從科學角度，帶我認識生理時鐘！

『日出而作、日落而息』
過去我們對睡眠比較確定的部分
認為睡眠過程對學習跟記憶重整有幫助

然而，晝夜節律並非只對失眠者需要注重
引述一段來自Circadian Mechanisms in Medicine的片段
『The molecular circuitry of circadian clocks is encoded by an autoregulatory 24-hour transcription loop in the brain, where the clocks align sleep–wake and feeding cycles with the rotation of Earth on its axis. Clocks are also present in nearly all tissues of the body, composing a network of timekeepers that anticipate varying environmental conditions each day.』

簡單來說
1. 晝-夜時鐘(地球自轉的24小時)
2. 睡眠-清醒週期
3. 進食-禁食週期
綜合影響造成的人體『生理鐘』幾乎影響身體許多組織、器官

其中影響層面，廣泛到包含：
a-器官類：肝、腎上腺、腎、心臟、腸胃
b-組織類：肌肉、脂肪組織
c-系統類：血管系統、免疫系統、荷爾蒙系統（胰腺（胰島素）、腎上腺）、消化系統

而下方圖整理作者認為不同組織，引響不同器官的震盪生理過程
（我很好奇地將此圖與中醫內的生理時鐘做了比對
但很可惜的是，兩者間並無高度相關性。）
不過可以確認的是：
正常的生活作息對身體各種
器官、系統、組織的穩定是有一定程度的幫助！

其實晝夜理論，過去已經有被使用於一些治療上
例如，光照治療已被使用於季節性憂鬱症
作者甚至文中提到，幾種類型的癌症可能與晝夜節律紊亂有關
包含：乳腺癌、黑色素瘤...等
由於晝夜節律其他影響包含：免疫系統、心血管系統、代謝系統
舉凡常見的慢性疾病：三高問題、免疫問題、代謝問題
有可能有其中一部分的解方，就藏在最平凡不過的『健康生活作息」

其實這是讓我蠻驚豔的一篇文章
晝夜節律並非只運用於有失眠或情緒問題的個案，
可能有更多問題，也與晝夜節律有關
雖然疫情真的讓超多人作息大亂
但『不要熬夜、要有好的生活作息』
這不是句口號，而是一句有科學根據的話。

My PC setup was lacking one thing - a pink case. I couldn't find any local stores selling it online so I decided to just do it myself. Here is where I record my experience. Safe to say, it was a SUCCESS!


Answers to some questions:

• The cost for the Anchor sprays are RM8.90 each. Total cost of everything (sprays, masking tape) is more or less RM20 :)
• Always spray in zig zag motion. Staying in one spot will cause your canvas to be blotchy and uneven.
• Always coat a thin layer and let it dry before moving to the next coat. I do about 2-3 coats for each component.
• Based on trial and error, the Anchor spray paint do not require sanding or a base and top coat.

The Audio Palette
Richard S. Burwen developed the concept for the Audio Palette. Burwen found that certain tone control adjustments were necessary to obtain the most natural, lifelike sound from recordings.
Cello has identified the major cause of sonic problems in recordings as the tonal balance that has been adjusted by the recording and mastering engineers in the studio. Each engineer uses a monitoring system that is unique. Because the tonal balance of each system is different, each recording is different. Engineers primarily use equalization to optimize tonal balance for the best sound on their system.

The Audio Palette advances musical realism more than any other single component. Tonal balance can be corrected from the most delicate and subtle adjustments for the best recordings, to the most extreme and dramatic adjustments for vintage material, in order to restore the vitality and life to recordings of music without sonic deterioration.

The Audio Palette is used by record companies, mastering laboratories, and also by discriminating home listeners.
