    新冠肺炎一發不可收拾, 在世界各國造成災難, 中國政府的一貫不誠實絕對是主因之一。川普最近刻意在公開場合與推特上用 Chinese virus 取代媒體慣用的 Coronavirus 或 Covid19, 讓很多台灣人拍手叫好。加上台灣老被共匪打壓, 有川普幫忙教訓豈不是大快人心。但是, 把新冠肺炎叫成 Chinese Virus 既錯誤又危險, 必須跳脫台灣的思維來看待這件事情。

    首先必須瞭解, Chinese 這個字跟中國政府之間並沒有等號, 它代表的也不只有中國人民。在世界各地多跑幾趟, 你一定會碰到 Chinese Malaysian, Chinese Canadian, Chinese Australian, Chinese Filipino, Chinese American。他們並不認同中共政權, 更不想當中國人, 可能連中文都不會說。Chinese 這個字不過代表著他們的血統, Chinese 泛指所有的華人。Chinese Virus 間接給人一種華人身上都帶著病毒的感覺, 容易被有心人士拿來操作, 很多地方已經發生亞洲面孔被騷擾甚至被攻擊的事件。市井小民搞不清狀況也就算了, 全世界最強勢的國家領導人竟然帶頭歧視, 下流都不足以形容。

    再來, 川普這樣做一定有原因, 聰明的你應該已經猜到。情報單位從一月份就多次警告川普政府新冠肺炎來勢洶洶, 川普非但不採取行動, 還狂扯陰謀論, 說是在野黨策畫的騙局。現在很多美國人生活陷入困頓, 怨聲載道, 川普為了推卸責任, 當然想盡辦法要美國人把一切怪到中國頭上。
