“You’re not serious, right?.” - I’ve heard them all... 😔

And the more I share and grow, the more risk I take, the more I step into a bigger life, the more I hear it...

But... guess what? OTHER PEOPLE’S OPINION IS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS.

It’s called “opinion” for a reason. It’s not the TRUTH.💥

Other people’s opinions used to run me. I used to ask for approval. I cared (way too much) what others thought.

It could become a problem when it gets between you and your goals and vision.

So how do you fix this?

Here is what I do: I ask myself, “Mich, whose life are you living?” and “Who are you living for?”

Whenever I do that, it puts things back into perspective and it reminds me that ultimately, the decision is mine alone. Others opinion is just that, an opinion.

You see, others opinions do not pay our bills.

Others opinions don’t keep us warm at night.

Others opinions are merely a reflection of THEIR own experiences, beliefs and missed goals.

Their opinions don’t “protect us”.

What others opinions do for us is distracting us from our vision, our goals, our hopes and dreams.

Anything is POSSIBLE for you, so do not muddy that belief with someone’s “opinion.”

Be careful who you seek guidance from.

1 in 3 Malaysians is struggling with their mental health with the highest prevalence amongst 16-19-year-olds (MOH, 2015). Thus, it's common that we ALL loved ones that are fighting with their inner demons - a lover, spouse, parent, family member, friend, colleague, etc...It's PAINFUL to watch the people we love and care for doing damage to themselves. Despite us trying our best to pull them out of a deep dark hole, they continue to self-sabotage and chose to dig deeper, choosing to stay in that toxic place...

"Why can't you love yourself more?" , "Why can't you be healthy?" .....I've desperately begged people I cared for to get help but no matter how much I've tried, they have either gotten angry at me and my pleas went to deaf ears...

Yet, we all still try to save them because, despite their self-harm and (sometimes) projection of their negative actions towards us, we loved them for their beautiful side. Deep in our hearts, we still believe that they can change for the better 🙏 Therapy and Rehabilitation teaches you how to face parts of you that you don't like/don't want to face and make you realize that the ONLY way to defeat those demons is by facing them, acknowledging them head-on 👊

Play date原意是指那種美國讓小孩在假日一起遊戲的聚會，像是扮家家酒的感覺，不過在Play date這首歌，除了用輕快旋律說著遊戲玩具的感覺，更多是在暗喻那位若即若離、不珍惜自己的另一個人，而且本來以為會帥氣跟這種約會對象說掰掰，最後還是誠實面對自己內心，委屈巴巴說著在乎。

Here comes this week cover of this superrrr cute song, Play Date.
Play Date went viral and sudden rose in popularity recently becasue of TikTok.

It's saying the girl is nothing more than a friend to someone who seems to care very little about her, even though they get together often. She outwardly proclaims she is just as uncommitted as he is, and how she's tired of all the games she has to play to stay with such uncommitted guy. She wishes she didn’t care about how little he communicates but she can't stop thinking about him. In the final moments of the song, she admits she does care about him and does value their "play date".

But well, if they really cared, then they would have not given up on you. period.
