Today, we chose to bake cake!!!! Had a great time at @maggieandrosehk learning all about ancient Egypt and making Basbousa Cake and Cleopetra Snacks!!!

Time to utilize the separate stomach for desserts 😆 Luckily only 3 types so naturally it was all desserts on the menu 😛. _ "Basbousa" (Pic 1-2) was a warm semolina cake served with ice cream. OMG this was my absolutely favorite! Love the warm little semolina grain texture (a bit like poppy seeds but better) and the crust surface and served with cold ice cream in the shape similar to Etxebarri’s (or in Basque countries). _ Chocolate mousse with unsweetened cream (Pic 3) was smooth and rich but not cloying, yogurt panna cotta (Pic 4-5) came with amazing sable at the bottom, orange caramel and glazed orange rind on top. Delicious as well. _ The food at Santa Katarina was not super fancy or extravagant but every dish was incredibly great taste and cooked with skills. This type of places are always the kind that I visit the most.
