專輯之所以喚作《Bye Bye Manchester》，那是在去年4月Nouvelle Vague女主唱Mélanie Pain帶著一部Casio PT-30電子琴、一支Ukulele與一把Autoharp，以及兩張分別由巴黎到倫敦、由倫敦到曼徹斯特火車票出發。她在曼徹斯特逗留了八個星期，寫了二十多首歌曲出來，然後她依依不捨地離去。
同是既有法文歌與英文歌，但多於個人處女斥《My Name》時的典型小清新。Mélanie在創作過程中她乃花了不少時間在節拍程序與Vintage Synth演奏上，所以由巴黎唱作人Albin de la Simone監製、在巴黎灌錄的《Bye Bye Manchester》裡，乃含有有不少Electro-Pop或以Synth為主奏的曲目。
