Lensbaby Burnside 35mm f2.8 is the first lens I have seen with a double aperture giving you control over the image of the lens, either giving it a softer slow look or a sharper harser edge bokeh. Both apertures are move independent from each other and there is a special lever on the side to move the front aperture.Below are the result of moving the apertures and honestly the effect is only just slightly for object close up or even making a portrait shot of a person and its just slightly visible in the bokeh in the background, with one being softer and other with sharper bokeh edges. 30s Leica lens Hektor 7.3cm f/1.9 lens
This is a quite high speed lens for the Leica system that was on the market for about 7 years. Introduce of new high speed lenses went at leisurely paces as most of people were busily exploring the characteristics of the most sedate versions. The lens was also dedicated to the use of tricks-filter Agfa color process were a high speed was necessary. The Leica brochure from 1938 describes the lens as having smooth sharpness and plasticity at wider apertures for use as a portrait lens and delivering critical sharpness stopped down for use as a landscape lens. One should lower see this description with somewhat rosy glasses. It was a very expensive lens, and this may explain its limited sales potential.

Have been wanting to try this lens for a while but it was pretty hard to find in Thailand, got it just in time for my trip to Japan, perfect for all the New Year lighting displays.

For the review (if I ever get around to doing one) I will include a wider variety of footage, shot during the day and at night with different apertures and sensor sizes. For this clip though I only used footage shot at Starlight Garden lighting display at Tokyo Midtown. The footage gave me an Interstellar-Ad Astra kind of feel so I used the interstellar soundtrack, I only found during editing that the place is called Starlight Garden, which was a nice coincidence that perfectly fits the theme.

No effects were used on the image but I did colorgrade it.

จริงๆอยากลองเลนส์นี้มานานแล้วแต่ที่ไทยหายากนิดนึง อยู่ๆวันนึงบังเอิญเจอก่อนทริปไปญี่ปุ่นพอดีเลยรีบซื้อเลยเพราะคิดว่าน่าจะเหมาะไปลองกับไฟช่วงปีใหม่มากๆ

ในคลิปรีวิว (ถ้าได้ทำ) คงจะใช้ตัวอย่างภาพที่หลากหลายกว่านี้ จะมีทั้งแบบที่ถ่ายตอนกลางวันและตอนกลางคืน ใช้ f-stop หลายๆขนาด และใช้เซนเซอร์หลายขนาด แต่ในคลิปนี้ใช้แต่ภาพที่ถ่ายจาก Starlight Garden ที่ Tokyo Midtown หมดเลย ถ่ายมาแล้วได้ความรู้สึกประมาณ Interstellar หรือ Ad Astra เลยใช้เพลงจาก Interstellar สะเลย เพิ่งมารู้ตอนตัดต่อว่าตรงนั้นชื่อ Starlight Garden ด้วยยิ่งเหมาะเลย

ในส่วนของภาพไม่ได้ใส่ effect อะไรแต่ได้เกรดสีไปครับ
