Animation in Japanese. I learnt about Osamu Tezuka, Hayao Miyazaki, Katsuhiro Otomo and Mamoru Oshii, four of the greatest directors in Japan. Osamu tezuka is a Japanese animator, who in early works and beyond used cinematic camera angles and panning, creating the feeling of watching a movie. ASTRO BOY, created on Japanese television in 1963, is his most popular animated programme, and is the first Japanese animation to be shown on US television. The early style of drawing by Osamu Tezuka was influenced by Disney itself. Hayao Miyazaki was the producer of several of the Ghibli studios' anime films. His novels also use similar concepts, such as the relationship between humanity and nature and technology and the challenge of upholding a pacifist ethic. All his protagonists are mostly good, autonomous girls or women, and enigmatic characters with redeeming virtues are presented to most villains in the films. HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE is one of his celebrated films. Katsuhiro Otomo is a Japanese animator who mostly uses post-apocalyptic Tokyo as a neon-lit futuristic theme. STEAM BOY and AKIRA are among the popular artworks he has made. The Japanese animators who use themes such as fantasy, philosophy, aesthetic and moral issues are Mamoru Oshii. Many of the anime's quotations come from famous people, such as Buddha, Confucius, the Old Testament, and many more. GHOST IN THE SHELL is his most famous artwork. In conclusion, I learn about the various art styles used by four Japanese animators in this chapter. The range of graphical techniques and various themes used by these animators makes the animation different and exciting. I also learn about the history, background and animation of the incredible animation created by these four Japanese animators. #fac412
