《血液病理學期刊》（Journal of Hematopathology）最近刊登了一篇非常有趣的文章，研究不同血液疾病中的骨髓環鑽活檢（trephine biopsy）外觀變化。

一般來說，醫生為病人進行骨髓檢查時，除了會進行抽吸（aspirate），更會拿取一小段骨，我們稱之為環鑽活檢。化驗師之後會把環鑽活檢切成片，讓醫生可以在顯微鏡下檢查環鑽活檢。但原來在未必片之前，單憑那一小段骨的外觀，已經可以得到一些病人的資訊。

原來巨母紅血球性貧血（megaloblastic anaemia）患者的環鑽活檢偏向深紅至櫻桃紅（圖a2）。再生障礙性貧血（aplastic anaemia）患者的環鑽活檢則多是黃色（圖c）。多發性骨髓瘤（multiple myeloma）患者的環鑽活檢又軟又幼（圖f2）。骨髓增生性腫瘤（myeloproliferative neoplasm）患者的環鑽活檢硬且淡色（圖b及d）。

《運動相關血液疾病》

近日奧運進行得如火如荼，除了某政黨有人強烈譴責強烈譴責一位香港運動員，該黨主席又表示「這種關注合情合理」外，港人普遍都上下一心全力支持香港運動員參賽。史丹福就想藉此機會為大家介紹一個與運動相關的血液疾病－－步行性血紅蛋白尿（march haemoglobinuria）及運動性貧血（sports anaemia）。

運動員在長時間進行高強度的運動後亦會出現尿液變紅的情況。醫學界相信這情況是由於在進行運動時，腳掌長期與地面碰撞，在過程中破壞了紅血球，引起溶血...

Hello Youtube Family,

Wow, this feels so weird and wonderful at the same time uploading yet another pregnancy vlog! Takes me back to my baby updates with Isaac before he was born. Here we are again =)

As always, I'll be sharing my cravings, symptoms and thoughts regarding this pregnancy.

I am currently 15 weeks pregnant but here is my 9 week pregnancy update. I would've made an earlier one but I just didn't feel well enough to film then. I honestly did not expect this pregnancy so feel so different from my first. I guess all pregnancies really are different. I think I was too snide about not having morning sickness first time round so for this pregnancy, I got flying kicked in the face with full on nausea. Tim felt so sorry for me that he even let me buy sliced mangoes which is just so romantic to me.

I actually felt like I "glowed" with Isaac but this time round, I've only been getting "You look really sick" comments from people around me. I blame the anaemia (something I didn't get from my first pregnancy). Nonetheless, now that I'm in my 2nd trimester, I'm happy to say my energy has bounced back and my anaemia doesn't bother me as much. WOHOOO! Tim still lets me get the sliced mangoes too. Score.

Thank you for being in this journey with me yet again, everyone. I know baby acorn will be very loved.
