Paulo Laureano Ema’s Vineyard Branco Vinho Regional Alentejano Portugal 🇵🇹 2018
Paulo Laureano, once an agronomist professor, found his love in wine and started to make wine in 1990s. Recognized as one of the most renowned winemakers in Portugal, Paulo settled down in Videgueira, a southern sub-region within Alentejo of Portugal, where he fell in love with the terroir and deliciated himself to produce wine made with indigenous grape varieties.
This 100% Verdelho comes from Ema’s Vineyard, a 4-hectare old vines parcel, where the predominet soil is schist, providing the unique minerality to this wine.
Pale gold with aromas of star fruit, quince, kumquat, pineapple, walnuts and beeswax, the wine slowly unfolds herself in my glass. Dry and lean with hint of yeasty notes on the palate with bright acidity. I crave for oyster while sipping this Verdelho or pair with Açorda de Marisco (shellfish bread stew), a regional dish from Alentejo. You can never go wrong with regional wine goes with regional food. 😉 Let’s drink more Portuguese wine! Saúde! 🥂

這瓶白葡萄酒是採用100% 老滕Verdelho釀製而成。淡淡的金黃色閃耀杯中,楊桃、金桔、佛手柑、鳳梨、核桃及蜂蠟的氣味緩緩徐來。飲來清爽峻嶺,有高風亮節之感。其獨樹一格的礦物感是來自Videgueira 產區的片岩土壤所致,相當有特色。品飲這瓶酒時,腦子裡不聽使喚地浮現了生蠔的跑馬燈,要不然,搭配當地的特色菜:Açorda de Marisco(貝類海鮮燉麵包)是再恰當也不過了!
