(( The Anointing Can Be Imparted ))
“God worked special miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were carried away from his body to the sick, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out. But some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, took on themselves to invoke over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, “We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.” There were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did this. The evil spirit answered, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?” The man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived at Ephesus. Fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.” (Acts 19:11-17 WEB)
The special miracles done through Paul shows that anointing (the power of the Holy Spirit) is transferable.
When a handkerchief or apron touched Paul, the anointing was transferred to it, and the anointing was thereafter transferred again to whoever it touched.
Believers have God’s seal on their foreheads which demons can see (Revelation 9:4).
That’s how the demon knew that the Jewish exorcists were not believers — they didn’t have the seal.
Demons know their rights, and they don’t have to obey unbelievers who don’t possess authority in Jesus’ name.
The demon didn’t even obey the Jewish chief priest — demons are only forced to submit to believers, in the name of Jesus.
The demon-possessed man had superhuman strength — he was able to overpower seven men.
When you see people stripping naked in public and wounding themselves, that’s the work of demons.
