    A big thank you to every single person that has reached out and taken the time to wish me happy birthday. Something so simple goes a long way because I felt an abundance of love throughout the day. (My eyes are still swollen from crying)

    I’ve been such a hardass all these years pushing for achievements, pushing to be seen and pushing for others to live in their greatness. I rarely put myself first and I rarely get to celebrate myself because I consider the well being of others. Turning 37 made me realise that I’ve got so much more to learn. As if I had barely turned the corner and had breakthroughs a few months ago. As much as I want to say that I feel too old to.... for the first time I’ve been able to eliminate that limiting belief. It’s also made me realise that every moment I’ve lived in the past has brought me to the present, each moment is a gift and despite whatever rollercoaster emotions I’ve had to go through, it has shown me how resilient I can be and the never ending tests that God will give me.

    I’m not going to pretend that my life is perfect or that I don’t have my fair share of shit to deal with bc it’s my birthday, but I’m in a place of acceptance with who I am and what I aspire for myself.

    I’m blessed with an amazing family, wonderful and thoughtful friends and a man that loves me very much. I am working on the insecurities, fears and wounds one by one, creating healthy boundaries for myself and finding that voice again. I’ve had to wrestle with my own demons and it’s been a very vulnerable journey having to face the shame of carrying them + how I’ve affected others in this state.

    I’ve met so many incredible people who have shown me what it means to serve a community and to have a dream bigger than yourself. So my wish this year is to radiate light to those who have been afraid to shine. Simply because I know how it feels and also bc I’m an enneagram 8w7. 😂I still don’t have all the answers I’m looking for but I am acknowledging who I am becoming.

    I feel older and wiser but still very much young at heart. Thank you for making me feel so loved today. It made the world of a difference. ❤️ #birthdaygirl
