INSPIRATION
裝飾立燈 "Calla Noir" ，為文龍文化藝術基金會所資助 "re-Inspired Synthesis"計畫成果，為了回應計畫目標「探索新的3D列印技術以達到最終產品的品質」，設計在單層列印的燈罩上，利用控制多種熔融沉積3D列印技術 (Fused Deposition Model- ing，FDM) 製程機制的參數並融合列印材料的特色，在表面上的產生獨特的花紋透 過燈光產生多樣的變化。"Calla Noir" 展示3D列印成果在無需後加工的形況下作為 最終成品的潛力。
In response to project’s initiative to explore new 3D printing methods for end-prod- uct manufacturing, a single-layer printed lampshade was designed utilizing the various control mechanisms of the 3D printing FDM process to blend the printing material and generate a surface pattern that varies through the changing of light. Calla Noir, demonstrates the potential for 3D printed results as final finished product without additional post-processing.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES
近130公分高的"CallaNoir"是以大型三角洲式列印機所印製而成。在產業夥伴 CHIMEI | 3D 列印事業部與 Linkin Factory | PING協助下，我們才得以在"Calla Noir" 中再次挑戰大型列印3D列印作品，這個在過去幾年台灣3D列印產業環境下不易逾越的障礙。
Using manufacturing techniques
The decorative floor lamp Calla Noir, at nearly 130cm tall, was printed on a large-scale delta style printer. With the help of new performance materials from MODEX 3D filaments and our fabrication partners at Linkin Factory, we were able to achieve in Calla Noir, what just three years ago, seemed like an insurmountable task in 3D printing.

DESIGN FLOW
為忠實呈現熔融沉積3D列印技術獨有的製程特色， "Calla Noir" 的燈罩透過編程機器列印參數創造出獨特的花紋，這個設計策略除了考量外觀 / 燈光設計及緩和現行熔融沉積3D列印常有的"缺陷"外，亦將相關特性加以控制轉化成設計元素以此達到最終產品的質感，希冀此作品能夠打破大眾普遍對於3D列印技術僅能作為設計原型的既定印象。
unique to the FDM 3D printing process, "Calla Noir" expresses the coded computational movements of the machine in the pattern and finish of the printed shell. This alleviates the "problems" of FDM printed works and changes our perception of this technology from prototyping to finished product.

錫翰同學的作品Coral Plane，以充滿活力的燦豔紅搭配柔靜內斂的玫瑰晶，兩色交織下透過紋理變化，使整體作品設計呈現出令人驚豔美感。

Coral Plane此作品是sKY_Associative與CHIMEI| MODEX、資策會合作的「3D列印跨領域應用產學合作案」的設計成果，設計想法來自於星球，作品以純粹的圓型作出發，表面透過深淺漸進的凹凸的變化與透明程度的搭配，讓光線在表面與空間中呈現不同的紋理。在此次合作計畫中，列印材料選用MODEX ABS Pro 的紅色與透明玫瑰晶作搭配，以換料列印的方式，使兩種顏色交織出不同圖樣。

The project idea comes from the image of a planet, so it uses a pure spherical geometry as a starting point. The surface is translucent to convex with varying degrees of transparency, so that the light pres- ents different textures on the surface and space.
Sponsored through a collaborative effort by the Institute of Informa- tion Industry and MODEX 3D filaments, the printing materials selected were opaque red and transparent rose gold, with transparent materi- als mixed into the red surface using double-printing manner to configure different modes.

其實我們家ABS系列也粉不錯啦！

【台灣國際3D列印展】

今天參觀了現在正在南港展覽館展出的3D列印展。這次的3D列印展跟著自動化工業展一起舉辦，我們發現一個有趣的現象是3D列印機以外的展品種類變多了。舉凡3D掃描機、檢測機，小型NC機台及各式特殊列印材料。

以往講到3D列印馬上會聯想到熱擠出式機種；隨著光固化成形技術逐漸成熟，這次展會也多了不少光固化列印機，造型複雜細緻的模型基本上可以直接印出。特別是公仔跟珠寶設計領域，3D列印取代傳統工藝已經是現在進行式。

其他列印技術部分，國內工具機廠商東台也推出自有品牌金屬及鑄造用砂模列印機，不讓國外廠商專美於前。

另外，展區內幾乎到處可見的消費級掃描機Einscan系列提供新的概念，以往價格高昂的掃描儀搖身一變平易近人，操作介面也更為友善。相信將實際的物體帶進虛擬世界將成為新的常態。

線材廠則有最近表現搶眼的MODEX 3DP FilamentFlexMax軟料。這軟料真是軟質產品設計者的一大福音。另一個引起話題的矽膠列印機，由頂晶新技展出預計明年開始銷售。成型技術為光固化，可控制矽膠軟硬度，期待產品的推出。

3D列印展期到這週六（9月6號～9號），入場只要填寫資料即可，有興趣的捧油可以前往參觀。
