Genesis (創世記) 1 : 1 - 26
1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
地是空虛混沌，淵面黑暗；神的靈運行在水面上。

3) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
神說：「要有光」，就有了光。

4) And God saw the light, that good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
神看光是好的，就把光暗分開了。

5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

16) And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: the stars also.

20) And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
神說：「水要多多滋生有生命的物；要有雀鳥飛在地面以上，天空之中。」

21) And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that good.

至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥，並各樣爬在地上有生命的物，我將青草賜給他們作食物。」事就這樣成了。

31) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
神看著一切所造的都甚好。有晚上，有早晨，是第六日。

Genesis (創世記) 2 : 1 - 3
1) Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
天地萬物都造齊了。

2) And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
到第七日，神造物的工已經完畢，就在第七日歇了他一切的工，安息了。

3) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
神賜福給第七日，定為聖日；因為在這日，神歇了他一切創造的工，就安息了。

聖誕快樂

（今天是平安夜。謹祝各位讀友聖誕快樂！這篇舊文選自2018年12月24日的平安夜。文後補充了一位讀友的留言。）
中國掌權者近年不斷掀動民族主義情緒，想以此穩固政權，大陸網有一張圖，一女子手持橫額，上寫：「抵制聖誕──中國人不過外國節」。
這不是個別人表現，背後是有統治者作意識鼓動的。去年大陸網頁有一張在某機關門外的熒幕照片，上寫：「根據上級規定，任何機關事業單位、黨員幹部、大中小學生不得參與『萬聖節』『聖誕節』等各類『洋節』的慶祝活動。」
聖誕節跟西方文明的發展有密切關係，對中國由古老封閉的社會進入現代社會，也有根本影響。
眾所周知的公元紀年，就是以耶穌出生之年開始計算的。中共國不依循古時以帝王統治的年號紀年，也不依中華民國以民國紀年，而依照公元紀年，就表示接受了這個以耶穌降生為紀年的西方傳統。
不是很多人知道的是，中國的舊曆，也是在17世紀，由羅馬天主教來中國傳教的湯若望神父編撰的，當時稱為《時憲曆》，這曆法一直沿用至今。
中文拼音也來自西方傳教士，發明者是1583年到中國的利瑪竇，他1605年在北京出版了《西字奇跡》，其中四篇漢字文章加了拉丁字母注音。
全世界最統一的休假日，就是星期日，這也起源於《聖經》。中國在民國才得以確立星期制，從此，人民在法律上才有每周休息的權利。
古代中國的記時方式，是依靠打更。中國的第一個鐘錶，是天主教傳教士利瑪竇帶來的，從此中國有了標準的記時方式。
中國古代音樂沒有樂譜記錄，因此在古書上被形容為此曲只應天上有的「霓裳羽衣」，所有的唐宋詞、元曲的曲調，都因為無記錄而失傳。後來雖有工尺譜這種記譜方式，但不流行。五線譜、簡譜，都是西方傳教士帶來的。
全世界的醫院和醫療救護工作，都以十字架為標誌，因為耶穌以給人治療麻風病而聞名於世。近代西醫傳入中國，跟教會的傳教是並行的，中國著名醫院或醫學院前身都曾是教會醫院。「十字標誌=醫院」的觀念已經深入人心。
清朝的時候，學生們考科舉，學習四書五經。近代基督教教會積極在中國各地創辦大學，把現代教育模式移植到了中國，使中國高等教育迅速同世界接軌。
以上只是一鱗半爪。實際上，中國近代與世界接軌的發展，都是西方傳教士和教會帶來的，例子不可勝數。但1949年後，在無神論的執政黨掌權下，外來教會連同他們帶來的教育、醫療和導人向善的教義都受到打壓，掌權者的洗腦宣傳把西方教會在中國的努力，稱為「外國間諜、文化侵略」，硬將宗教納入「愛國」範疇，近幾年更加強壓制地下宗教崇拜活動，拆十字架，毀教堂。
在整個社會物慾橫流，人民失去信仰、靈性、善意和推己及人之心的情況下，有一則消息在大陸網上流傳：「昨日中午，聖誕老人因到中國摔倒，無人敢扶，已經凍死了，節日取消，請相互轉告。」
為了不讓聖誕老人凍死，西方世界開始不讓聖誕老人去中國了。聖誕老人意味現代西方文明，難怪西方抵制中國的聲音出現並上升。
香港何時會出現讓聖誕老人凍死的社會？
（讀友Ho Wing Hon留言：文中提到：「全世界的醫院和醫療救護工作，都以十字架為標誌」。
世界不同醫學組織，多數是以 「手杖舉起銅蛇」作為標記(看似十架)，其典故出自舊約聖經民數記 21:9「摩西就造了一條銅蛇，掛在杆子上。凡被蛇咬的，一望這銅蛇就活了。」
很多人被蛇咬傷亡，但望見銅蛇就得醫治，以此作為喻意，人看見醫學機構，希望就能得到醫治。
而用「十」字作為醫院標誌，也就是沿用此舊約典故，應用於耶穌十架，取其望見就能得救之喻意，出自約翰福音三章14-15節：「摩西在曠野怎樣舉蛇，人子也必須照樣被舉起來，要使一切信他的人都得永生。」人子是指耶穌。）

【問題不在於選哪一條路，而是要與誰同行】

那麼真正100分的人生到底是什麼呢？在約翰福音十四章6節，「耶穌說：『我就是道路，真理，生命。』」這話簡單明瞭，鏗鏘有力：耶穌就是道路。歷史上有許多人印證了這句話，清楚的給我們看見，在人生道路上，惟一不敗的出路，就是與基督同行；惟一滿分的人生，就是被神充滿的人生。

我們可以透過聖經中的榜樣，學習如何行在這條道路上。舊約中，亞伯拉罕原與他的父母家人同住，在肥沃的兩河流域。然而有一天，神對他說，「你要離開本地，本族，父家，往我所要指示你的地去。」（創世記十二章1節）。他就離開安逸的家鄉，走進沙漠未知之地。亞伯拉罕敢如此行，因為有神的話作他的信心；他離開了本家，最終在神的帶領下進入迦南美地。

新約中，保羅在往義大利的船上，遇到海難，船上的人都覺得沒有得救的指望。眾人都很焦慮，不敢吃所剩下有限的食物。只有保羅站起來，叫大家放心：「現在我還勸你們放心；你們的性命，一個也不失喪，惟獨失喪這船。」保羅能如此確定的說這樣的預言，是因「我所屬所事奉的神，他的使者昨夜站在我旁邊說，保羅，不要害怕，你必定站在該撒面前；並且與你同船的人，神都賜給你了。」保羅因此說：「眾位可以放心，我信神他怎樣對我說，事情也要怎樣成就。」（使徒行傳二十七章22節，24-25節）。果然，神怎麼說，事情就怎麼成就了。

你或向左或向右，你必聽見後邊有聲音說:「這是正路，要行在其間。」-以賽亞書三十21
