If you love something, if you have a strong passion for something, you would go to the extreme to try to understand or try to get it.

But you have a sense of love for him and the way that he can bring out the best in you. And he did that for me.

And I think that's what he would want for us to do.

〈丁蟹基督徒〉

丁蟹是無綫電視於1992年經典劇集《大時代》的虛構角色，由鄭少秋飾演，我相信讀者不會陌生。

常覺得，劇本作者韋家輝創作「丁蟹」這角色很好玩——丁蟹自以為對得起天地良心，自以為有情有義，實際上卻是自以為善、強詞奪理、做盡傷天害理事，卻又不懂反省。他可以打死無辜的方進新，口裏卻不斷責怪死去的方進新「太過容易死」。不過，最令人覺得有趣的是：在這荒謬與不義之下，丁蟹卻其實從一而終地追求善良，也主觀地認為自己是善良。問題只是：他誠心誠意地追求的善良其實不是善良。

近日忽發奇想：假若丁蟹是一名基督徒，或，基督徒表現得如丁蟹一般，後果會如何呢？

當然，丁蟹沒有宗教信仰。不過，丁蟹卻對上天心存敬畏之心，甚至常向天發誓自己對得起天地良心。如此的敬虔與追求，正好比某些「丁蟹基督徒」對信仰的追求與敬畏。何謂「丁蟹基督徒」？所謂「丁蟹基督徒」，就是那些自以為義、自說自話、從來看不見自己盲點，卻主觀地真心追求敬虔、愛主、渴望成聖的基督徒。丁蟹的座右銘是「人善人欺天不欺，人惡人怕天不怕」。假若將這座右銘「翻譯」為基督教版本的話，它大概會是甚麼金句？大概就是「上主必幫助我，扶持我的命。祂必報應我仇敵的惡！」（詩54:4-5）

不過，問題的重點卻是：誰是真正的惡？誰是真正的仇敵？上主幫助誰？What would Jesus do？以上問題正無可避免地回到「道德詮釋」的問題。何謂「義」？何謂「惡」？誰是教會的仇敵？這些問題看似有鐵證如山的文本根據，「如何詮釋文本」卻蘊藏出一個頗主觀的道德實踐問題。因此，這種倫理的主觀性，正造就出「丁蟹問題」。

因此，我要說，「丁蟹基督徒」的傷害力可以比惡人更甚：
他常常禱告，卻在禱告中詛咒自己憎恨的人。
他追求成聖，卻永遠看不出自己的盲點與問題。
他自以為堅持上帝真理，卻其實看不見自己的偏見。
他自以為捍衛真道，誰知在教會傷害了不少人。

「丁蟹問題」告訴我們，擁有良善的動機並不代表真正的良善。我再說，「丁蟹基督徒」都是真心追求，甚至是敬畏上帝之輩。然而，他們卻缺少對真理的認知與反省。因此，阿奎那在《神學大全》（summa theologiae）詳細地點出：無知（ignorantia）其實是一種罪。當然，人不是神，人非全知，不可能無所不知。不過，阿奎那卻嘗試在此作分野：無知是無可避免的，不過，應知而不知者，就正犯了「無知」的罪了。

言下之意，就是說，人若沒有運用上主賜下的腦袋，沒有花時間深思，從而導致「無知」的後果，這就是罪。說得再白一點：基督徒不思考，其實是一種罪。

這正是主耶穌的祈求：「求父用真理使他們成聖。」（約翰福音17:17 ）「成聖」與「真理」兩者不可分割。好基督徒不只是主觀地追求敬虔與成聖，他更需要客觀地認識真理、思考真理。求主憐憫。求主光照。
