Ferris wheels were once the center of the town fair. Now they are key parts of major metropolitan skylines. But none can top the heights of the Ain Dubai — meaning “Dubai Eye” in Arabic — which is scheduled to open on Oct. 21. At more than 250 meters, Ain Dubai is 82 meters higher than the current world's tallest ferris wheel in operation, the High Roller in Las Vegas. It is almost twice the size of the London Eye.

First announced in February 2013, Ain Dubai has taken more than eight years to complete. Construction began in May 2015, with an anticipated completion date of early to mid-2019. That date was later pushed to October 20, 2020, which was then pushed back another year when Expo 2020 was delayed by a year due to the pandemic.

The structure has 48 enclosed cabins, some of which can fit up to 40 passengers. In total, 1,750 people can ride at the same time, according to the attraction.

There are three different types of cabin to take in the 38-minute rotation: observation cabins (the standard option), social cabins (these are the "VIP" option and have a bar in the center of the pod) and private cabins, which can be booked out for special occasions and include the option of a private three-course dinner over two rotations of the wheel.

Now that we’re done with cows, it’s time to talk about their main product—beef. Americans love to eat beef, so you can be sure beef is a big part of their vocabulary.
聊完牛之後，我們來聊聊牛肉吧。美國人非常愛吃牛，所以跟 beef 這個字有關的詞，想必也是很多。

One expression everybody is familiar with is 1⃣“Where’s the beef?” This phrase was first used in a Wendy’s TV commercial in the 1980s. In the commercial, an old lady asked “Where’s the beef” when given hamburgers from another fast food restaurant. The commercial was so popular that the phrase became part of the language, meaning “Where’s the substance?” It’s often used in politics, but can be used in other areas as well. Ex: I like the writer’s style, but where’s the beef?

You can also say “have (a) beef with sb.” Ex: I hear Mike has (a) beef with Steve. 3⃣ A similar meaning of beef is “problem or complaint.” Ex: What is Carolyn’s beef today?

The Hurricane Heat started in August of 2011, when Hurricane Irene forced the cancellation
of our Sunday program at Amesbury, Massachusetts. Even with thousands of bummed out
racers, no one was more devastated than our founder, Joe De Sena. So, he gathered 150
athletes and Spartan staffers at 5:30am on Saturday morning, handed them some sandbags,
did a boatload of burpees, and proceeded to spend more than three hours covering less
than four miles. Needless to say, there were some very tired people when we got done.

kept that tradition going ever since.

non-traditional problem solving, find endurance under duress, and experience the

There are 3 type of Hurricane Heat: 4 hours, 12Hours and 24Hours. There are no
timing chips and no bibs. There is no individual competition. Once immersed in the
HH culture, you quickly find your “why” and a renewed sense of purpose for taking
on this challenge. With a gear list in your email inbox, the onus is on you to come
prepared for four hours of intense demanding work with plenty of mental and
physical challenges. Each HH is a unique experience directly related to the
individuality of the venue, as well as the cadre in charge. You will be challenged. As a
team, you will succeed.

When a spoon hit the fork, refuse of the food was scattered.
The mom warned him while saying 'Dirty!'.

2013年8月25日/Y:1歳10ヶ月/R:4歳2ヶ月　There were a lot of pleasant things including a visit to a grave and the playing in the water on this day.
We talked about the Rino's friend (Yuna-chan) who came after playing in the water in front of a house.
The contents...
Yuna-chan invited Rino to a house of herself, but Rino refuses it for the reason of being shy.
A mom declined an invitation of Yuna-chan carefully then.
However, we asked her a meaning because we did not understand her real intention to be shyness.
It looked like she did not want to say very much, but she answered for the reason.
She seemed to be ashamed that she meet Yuna-chan's mom.
The feeling to visit to Yuna-chan's house, and to meet Yuna-chan's mom did not seem mental preparedness because she had never met. hahaha
We thought that the reason was pretty and interesting. LOL
