關於蔡東東

1978年生於甘肅天水，現居北京。年輕時加入解放軍並成為駐部隊攝影師，專門為入伍的士兵拍攝人像。隨後在北京成立了自己的攝影工作室。在創作上，蔡善於將過去的照片重新解讀，並結合複合媒材如扭曲、拼貼、現成物上，讓照片有另一種新的生命力和意義。

蔡的作品曾參與多項展覽並發表於各類藝術書刊，包括《藝術界》、《藝術時代》、《攝影之聲》等；並榮獲義大利「第三屆特爾納（Terna）當代藝術獎」、 TOP20中國攝影新銳獎等，也參加過義大利UNIDEE藝術基金會駐留項目、南方報業集團《ART289》雜誌年度新勢力。

關於本書

這些照片是蔡多年以來所拍攝，但他總覺得照片少了什麼。於是他將這些照片加以不同的刻畫、打磨、捲曲，並製作成不同的裝置，像是用一支箭射穿相紙、利用鏡面反射相紙等。當這些照片立體化了以後，它們就模糊了攝影與藝術之間的界限，也讓虛實之間的界限顯得曖昧。

在這樣的灰色地帶，蔡拋出了他對攝影的質疑：攝影要如何呈現真實？對他來說，攝影往往因主觀的操控，而讓真實離我們遠去。一張照片，只能傳達出「我們」眼前的現實，但沒有辦法絕對客觀地建構出真正的世界。因此蔡選擇去「干涉」影像的畫面，再從圖像與真實的物體結合，來探討在現實生活中，這些圖像對我們的干預。

因此，蔡就這樣重新思考他過去所拍攝的照片，並以懸吊、刺穿及延伸的方式，來搭建照片與現實之間的橋樑。這樣的重新解讀、解構照片下，它們多了一層實體的空間感，可以將觀者帶入其中，並在觀者與現成物、照片間的交流中，顯現出攝影傳播的性質。此外，本書也採用複合媒材的形式，如浮貼、印製在金屬面相紙上等，來讓作品集與作品一體成型。

新作品創作的完整性概念不僅僅只局限在實體專輯，為了要在數位專輯上立體化創作概念，【Galaxy Crisis : The Strangest Midnight Broadcast銀河的危機 : 最奇異的午夜轉播】將會以iTunes LP的格式在全球與實體同步發行，這將是華人音樂圈當中首張採用iTunes LP發行的數位作品。在這次iTunes LP的版本當中，除了特別加收 "Pressure's on Me壓力都在我身上"、"You and Me你和我"、"Evil nerd theme邪惡書呆子主題曲"...等三首Demo創作之外，在影音部分還加收"You And Me"音樂錄影帶及專輯幕後製作花絮，此外還有專輯內頁照片、動態歌詞文字及專屬於iTunes LP版本的特殊封面。

The integration of the concept of this record is not just limited to its physical release, in the digital release, Galaxy Crisis: The Strangest Midnight Broadcast will be published as an iTunes' exclusive LP, which includes three bonus demos ("Pressure's on Me", "You and Me "and" Evil Nerd Theme"), the music video of "You And Me", a behind the scenes short documentary on making the album, album artwork, and the exclusive iTunes LP version album cover.
