尼泊爾地震半周年

10月25日, 剛好是尼泊爾大地震後的半年..
10.25 - 6 months after the mega earthquake in Nepal.

回憶起半年前的4月25日下午, 當時在尼泊爾地震發生後只有簡單的電話網絡接通,得知Dambar和村民大都安全，但「未來之村」房子倒塌了，一眾人都非常焦急---四天後(4月29日)，村內終於傳來首張地震後的「未來之村」的照片——心都碎了，它真的毀了！。這個集義工宿舍、工作室、圖書館、學生活動室、醫療中心和㕑房的多功能「未來之村」滿載了所有義工、旅客和村民的集體回憶，多年來由人一手一腳慢慢建立。「未來」本來就是由零去創造，現在就回歸原點，由零重新開始。

On 4.25 after the earthquake 6-months ago, only very limited phone network could be accessed, learnt that the Dambar and the other villagers were safe, but the Future Village House was badly damaged and everyone were very frustrated. 4-days later (4.29), the first photo of Future Village House after the quake was finally received, my heart was totally broken as the house was fully collapsed. The FV House used to be a multi-purpose space for volunteers to live, cook and work, it was also the library, activity rooms, medical center for the students with lots of golden memories for all the volunteers, visitors and villagers. It was built piece by piece throughout the years. "Future" meant to be built from scratch and now let's do it again for a new start from the ground zero..

當我在8月到訪村落時, 總是看到天真小孩們滿臉笑容，蹦蹦跳跳，就像地震只是與他們擦身而過，不少小孩還詢問我：「『未來之村』的學習班幾時會重開？」我們能為他們的願望出一分力嗎?

村民：「若有人可以幫助我們重建房屋，我們便可以維持簡單生活。」

Children with innocent smile can always be found when I visited FV in August, they kept playing and running around and seems that they just past by the mega quake, many of the children even asked "when will the FV tutor class resume?" I was thinking can we really do something for their simple wish?

"We can sustain our basic lives if our houses could be rebuilt" said the villagers.

十一年前，只有Dambar和我兩人走過艱辛的山路，修建小屋，改善校舍，給予村孩讀書的機會; 11年後的今日，學校和房子雖盡毀，重建之路雖漫長，可是我們再也不孤單。

It was only me and Dambar walked through the difficult paths and built the small house, enhanced the school and provided opportunities for children to study 11 years ago. Today, both school and FV house were badly destroyed and it's a long way to go for the rebuild, but luckily we are not alone anymore.

希望在未來，讓我們繼續凝聚力量，與村民一起重建家園。

重建項目簡介：

1. 學校重建計劃
目標：重建區內兩所受地震嚴重破壞的學校(Gyanodoya Lower Secondary School 及 Kanya Devi Lower Secondary School)
重建時間：2015 年11月中至2016年3月
直接受惠人數 : 就讀於兩間學校的250位學生
籌集捐款目標：美元USD 30,000

1. School rebuilding program
Target: to rebuild the 2 serious impacted school in the area (Gyanodoya Lower Secondary School 及 Kanya Devi Lower Secondary School)
Rebuild timeline: mid November 2015 to March 2016
Program details: to build 14 classrooms with anti shock capability base on the design provided by the Architecture for the Mass team.
No. of beneficiaries: 250 students from the 2 school
Targeted fundraising amount: USD 30,000

2. 「未來之村」重建計劃
目標：為區內130家庭重建房屋及重建「未來之村」兩層高房子
重建時間：2015年11月中至2017年
直接受惠人數 :130間房屋 (共130個家庭, 約700位村民)
籌集捐款目標：每所房子約美元USD 2,300 (村民會分擔其少部份成本及勞動力)，總項目預計約美金USD 300,000 (約港幣二百三十萬)；而較早前因地震作緊急籌款的剩額款項(約港幣HK$700,000 / 美元USD 90,000)將全數支持此計劃，故仍需要額外籌款約美元USD 210,000 (約港幣一百六十萬)

2. Future Village rebuilding program
Target: to rebuild the house for 130 families and the two-storey "Future Village" House.
Rebuild timeline: mid November 2015 to 2017
Program details: to rebuild premises with anti shock capability base on the co-design provided by the IDEA FOUNDATION and Design For People Co.,Ltd. & Hsieh Ying Chun Architects
No. of beneficiaries: 130 house (for 130 families, approx. 700 villagers.
Targeted fundraising amount: USD 2,300 per house (villagers will share parts of the costs and manpower). The total budget would be approx. USD300,000 (HKD2.3 million). The remaining balance for the emergency relief was approx. USD90,000 (HKD700,000), hence a total of USD210,000 ( HKD1.6million) is still outstanding.
