在19世紀中葉後，法國開始入侵越南，在西貢設立殖民政府；清帝國為了確保對越南的宗主權導致中法戰爭，結果清朝雖然取得一些勝利，但是雙方簽訂中法新約，使越南正式成為法國殖民地，是為法屬印度支那的一部份。
越南曾經與中原王朝的關係很深，在各方面皆仿照中原王朝，就連官服與中原王朝類似。越南當年也使用漢字，同時還要孔廟和科舉考試。在清朝時期，越南甚至號稱小中華。法國人確立自己的統治以後，逐步廢除了漢字
在法屬期間，越南社會面貌有所變化。越共史家指出當時的發展：「在農業經濟落後的同時，新的資本主義的生產基礎出現了。城市的面貌煥然一新」；「由於交通比過去方便了，各個市鎮的商業也繁榮起來了。在大城市，可見到西方文化及新事物傳入，據法人記錄，西貢有大型酒店、教堂、現代化劇院等設施，河內有甚具規模的新商場，「可與巴黎的大商場媲美。
第二次世界大戰時越南受日本所支配。1945年越南共產黨（時稱印度支那共產黨）發動八月革命，成立越南民主共和國（即北越），統治北方，獲蘇聯、中華人民共和國等共產國家支持，南方亦先後有西方陣營支持的保大帝政權及越南共和國（即南越），南北分裂，美國介入越南政局，支持南越，演成越戰。1975年北越統一全國，1976年改名越南社會主義共和國。統一後的越南政府曾染指鄰國老撾、柬埔寨，又與中、美等交惡，外交形勢曲折。1986年以後，越南政府推動革新開放，促進經濟，1990年代又與中、美及世界各國改善關係。

On the sixth day, the final chapter of the tour of Laos, enjoyed the slow life of 6 days and 5 nights, being in the jungle, tasted the authentic cuisine of Laos?, and also enjoyed the French brunch with high quality at a low price?. Every day I just go to the market, chill and enjoy an authentic massage. This kind of life is very interesting. I really want to go to more unique countries, feel the local customs, ?and then take videos of the trip and share it with you guys... So where is my next stop??

清晨5點鐘☀️，走到街上，第一次看到傳統的僧侶布施儀式。回去睡個回籠覺，起床第一件事當然不是吃早餐，先享受一個全身的寮式按摩，再出發吃一個法式早午餐，這裡的牛角包?水準真的是一流。吃飽了當然要去寺廟散散步，這次就來到寮國很著名的，一個位於龍坡邦的泰國及柬埔寨寺廟「香通寺」。入廟參拜後，離開龍坡邦之前，還是吃一個手作冰淇淋吧?，這裡的食物飲料都是比較天然清新的?，就如這裡的建築及充滿人情味的氛圍。再次踏上臥鋪，結束龍坡邦的最後一天，出發永珍?！

置身於山林中?，欣賞二百多米高的光西瀑布，流水從山頂傾瀉而下的壯觀景致，旁邊傳來小朋友們在水中嬉戲的打鬧聲。走上山頂俯視下去，萬綠叢中一點藍的湖面，空氣清新得樹木也生長出地衣，風吹過的空氣帶著植物的清新味道，淡淡的甜味，心情好久沒有這麼平靜過?。
晚上來的皇宮附近的夜市，發現了一條充滿地道美食的巷子，走進巷子，第一個感覺便是東南亞香料的味道，喧鬧的聲音，地道的美食，吃飽再到外面的夜市走走逛逛，完美?！

When I walked into the alley, the first feeling was the taste of Southeast Asian spices, loud noises, plenty of local food, and I went to the night market outside after having dinner. Perfect?!
