「水煮牛」於1981年被選入《中國菜譜》,故名思義係以辣湯燙熟牛肉嘅一道四川菜式,特點係肉質細嫩、麻辣味重、油而不膩,突出咗川菜麻、辣、燙的獨特風味。

The Poached Spicy Beef was selected and added into the Chinese Recipes in 1981. It is characterized by its tender beef, spiciness and red oil. The 3 signature flavours of Sichuan cuisine, namely Numb, Spicy and Hot are well represented together in this dish.

呢度嘅水煮牛比較特別,平時食開嘅表面都會有層厚厚嘅辣油,但呢個睇落去完全冇油。而且湯底比較濃厚,所以冇油都夠重口味😍
啱晒我哋呢啲要食又要減肥嘅女仔食!服務非常好嘅待應話俾我地聽係用咗師傅特別秘製嘅湯料。夠麻夠辣又夠香,牛肉亦非常新鮮。雖然呢道菜唔係好正宗,但係好食☺️ 加上環境高雅精緻,坐覽半山景致,值得再嚟!♥️

The Poached Spicy Beef Tenderloin here is very different from the ordinary as the thick layer of oil is missing. However, the heavy taste remains and is further enriched by the thick soup base - its recipe shrouded in mystery. It is a dish that is spicy enough but not too oily, a trait I love in my dishes.

The environment here is pretty good as well with the design of old Shanghai train carriages and the night view of the Mid-Levels. The friendly waiter told me that dishes here are all MSG-free. .
So even though this dish is not authentic enough, I would also say I love it and will definitely come again !♥️
