週末，到離家不遠的去迪化街走走。

街道從原本人車都會擠在一塊的狀況，似乎在假日變成「步行者天國」。許多原本荒廢的店面，經過整修，完全不會突兀，而是顯現出與街廓融和的氛圍； 走起來真的非常舒服。

看到一些店家外面，還有一些友善多元的標誌，嶄新的概念配合古風建築，個人覺得算是非常成功的社區營造。

非常歡迎各位在大稻埕河濱自行車道運動完之後，再來這邊消費，不論是地方的居民，或者是未來的外國觀光客，我認為這樣子的體驗，是台北能夠呈現給世界的好地方！

My weekend peregrinations took me to a place which effectively combines bolstering local #entrepeneurship with the preservation of #culturalheritage: Datong District's Dihua Street.

Known for hosting the annual Lunar New Year sundry market, not only is Dihua Street a repository of traditional Taiwanese culture, but also an incubator for #creativeindustries. These businesses are remarkably successful in showcasing #Taiwan ’s homegrown products as well as our nation's vibrant creative sector. Additionally, they bring in new clientele to more traditional, long-established shops on Dihua Street, fostering a symbiotic business environment.

The revitalization of Dihua Street also provides an opportunity for promoting #diversity. The consociation of modern and traditional businesses effectively creates a welcoming #intergenerational space. Moreover, the people who make up this colorful and vibrant neighborhood come from many walks of life, be it in terms of their ethnic identity, gender, or LGBTQ+ identity.

Balancing #tradition and #modernity is an important challenge for cities around the world. I eagerly anticipate an opportunity to engage with partners from all around the globe to exchange best practices for #culturalpreservation and transformation within the #urban context.
